Dr. Ryan is very friendly and approachable. She took the time to sit down and chat, took a thorough social history as well as medical history. She took the time to talk about preventative care and provided information for future appointments/tests that she believed was beneficial, but was also honest about tests that were not immediately necessary. The office was efficient, wait time was short and staff was very pleasant to interact with.

Dr Ryan was great for my annual physical. She made sure to check my mental as well as physical health. When I got a little emotional because I wasn't expecting that kind of care, she responded kindly and gave me both medication and non-medication based treatment options. Though the visit was short due to it being an annual, I felt like she made the time to get to know me and my medical history.

I found Dr. Ryan to be slightly rude. She continuously reminded me that I was 10 minutes late for my appointment, which I had admitted and apologized for upon arriving. Despite this, the doctor saw me for 20 minutes and continued to bring it up as though my appointment was eating into her time with other patients. Needless to say, I did not end up choosing her as my primary care provider based on first impression, a decision only strengthened when I saw what my insurance was billed for our brief introduction.

Dr. Ryan was very helpful and engaging about ways that I can better maintain my health and wellness. She provided ways to keep the lines of communication open whenever I have a concern. Moreover, as a gay man I felt that she saw me as an individual and not someone that is part of a distinct group with inherent needs.

Great doctor, takes time to get to know the patient. The hospital is LGBT+ friendly; I really appreciated that the doctor asked for my preferred pronouns. Everyone I had an interaction with-- receptionist, nurse, and doctor-- were all kind, friendly and helpful.

Her and her entire staff is great (from reception to the nurses) She took the time to listen to my concerns and gave me various suggestions on how to help me fix them, both medical and just life changes I can work on. The office was so clean and nice and all of the staff was very helpful. I had a 4:30 appointment on a Friday and had no wait! Dr. Shao was very nice and clear about everything she was doing and follow ups and next steps.
