Sav is a certified speech-language pathologist through the American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in the state of Illinois. She earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Jacksonville University (Palm Coast, FL) and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL). Sav is especially passionate about destigmatization and accessibility of therapeutic services to lower income families and has spent the majority of her career working with this population via home visits throughout Southside Chicago!• Through her clinical experience, Sav has learned how important it is to expose children to language through play, rather than test them. The core of her practice embodies connection, empathy, flexibility, functional/reallife integration, and empowerment of each client’s voice. She aims to integrate families within sessions when possible, as no one is more of an expert with our clients than their own parents. She aims to foster growth with both families and clients through neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based therapy. Sav has worked both with pediatric and adult clients with a wide range of communication needs, including expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation/phonology disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, fluency disorders, apraxia of speech, genetic syndromes,
developmental delays, and traumatic brain injuries. Sav also has experience working with clients who use AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) systems and continues to expand her knowledge in this area•
