Dr. Sitterle is clearly very knowledgeable and cares very much about your overall health. I felt a rushed which I didn't like, but still recommend him. Maybe it was because they were trying to shut down the office (appointment was on a Saturday). They do a very thorough assessment of your eye health. Staff was very nice and the office has a really nice atrium.

Dr. Sitterle opened his practice on Thousand Oaks in 1994. He graduated from University of Houston College of Optometry in 1990. He currently sees patients Monday-Thursday.
He is licensed as an optometric glaucoma specialist and in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, injury and infection. Dr. Sitterle has been an active member of Community Bible Church since 1993 and plays trumpet in the praise orchestra. He is also a board member and past vice-president of the Northeast San Antonio Rotary Club.
Dr Sitterle is also a Senior Sales Coordinator for NSA/Juice Plus+, a company that educates the public on the relationship between nutrition and disease and markets fruit and vegetable nutritional supplements. His goal is to help his patients understand that almost 90% of all chronic disease (macular degeneration, cataracts, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, auto-immune disease,etc) can be prevented or managed through proper nutrition. Most people don't know, but Dr Sitterle volunteered as a radio DJ on 91.3 FM from 1990-1994.
His favorite past-time besides music is chillin' in the sun. Favorite spots are the beach, lake, river,or pool; anywhere there is sun and water. He and his wife, Gloria, have been married since 1990 and have two sons, Philip and Clifton, one in high school and one in middle.

My 4 yo son was seen for glasses on Oct. 11th. The frame I chose has scratches and so they ordered a new frame. I called 2 weeks ago and a lady told me it takes up to10 business days. Now it has been a month and still no one call me to let me know if it's ready for pickup or something wrong. They must have ordered the frame from China because I found the exact same frame on eBay for about $ twenty dollars. I could have bought it myself and still faster. Let's see when or if they ever going to call me for pickup. This is not the way to do business. Need to have a meeting with your employees to discuss about this matter.

Some of the most professional staff at this office! I am now going to come back to this office. They are willing to listen, which is a big plus in my book. I have seen eye doctors that have ignored everything I have had to say. Very highly recommend them to everyone in my family &friends! I will not be going anywhere else again. :-)

I've had two appointments here, and I'm not thrilled with either of them. Dr. Sitterle's bedside manner is hit and miss, and he's constantly trying to sell some juice product, raving about its health benefits. He and his assistants leave the room randomly without explanation and no one apologizes for leaving you waiting for a while. There was one other person scheduled for the earliest appointment with me. She arrived 5 minutes after me, and was seen first. Near the end of my appointment, I was brought to the counter to check out and the receptionist was complaining openly to the doctor about a call she just received. She didn't stop when I approached the counter. The last time I had an appointment here, I came back a week later to pick up glasses I'd ordered and the person that brought them to me made fun of my frame selection. This is just an awkward place, and I was dismayed to learn that since I decided to get LASIK, I'd have to have several exams with the last eye care provider I chose.

The doctor was weird didnt have good customer service. While i was being asked personal question regarding my eyes they brought another patient in to do an exam i thought this might be a hippa violation but not sure. The girls are all dressed unprofessionally. I was also stuck with a suprise bill when i had been told they would tell me all cost before my appointment.i hope when my contacts come in i am pleased but we will see

The waiting prossess was longer then accpected and the doctor states they accept patients at the age of 8 ,which my son is, but the doctor didn't seem to have hands on experience with children. I feel he made my son feel very uncomfortable and would only recommend him with adults.

There was a general politeness but at times I felt as if I was just being tolerated. It was my first experience with anything to do with my eyes. So I was uneasy and wasn't made to feel otherwise. There was no introduction by the Dr. or did he take the time to say hello, no small talk, He tolerated my questions, and his staff was a little impatient with me when it came to
understanding the prices and type of glasses I needed. The Dr. was a matter of fact and direct. Just wish the experience was a little more comforting.
