Dr. Finkelstein is a very knowledge doctor and explains everything you need to know about procedures and what is going on, my only complaint is the office staff. They are some of the RUDEST people I have ever encountered in a professional setting. After trying to make and appointment and giving my flexibility because I know that the doctor is busy, the receptionist scoffed at me as though I was a subpart citizen. I honestly don't know how she is still working in that office. As much as I do like Dr. Finkelstein as a doctor, I think I will be taking me medical needs elsewhere rather than having to deal with rude office staff who make me feel as though I am a burden to their day.

NEVER AGAIN! There was no empathy or human kindness what so ever. I felt like a piece of meat on that table. No patience to any question and no expleination to any of the procedure. No sign of any sense of empathy or sensativity even when given bad and worrieng news from him that made me berst into tears. Nothing!

I was a new patient looking for a gyno for an annual exam, blood test & refill for my pill. Thank god that's all I came here for. The staff behind the desk was nice, though they had their phone on speaker several times which I thought was inappropriate. If I were a patient calling in I wouldn't want a whole waiting room to hear me. Secondly, I waited more than 30 minutes after I changed my appointment to an earlier time, and they still took someone before me. They also had us do a urine test & left the other person's cup in the bathroom when I went which I thought was quite disgusting, unprofessional & overall unhealthy. The bathroom was not in good shape either. The doctor was OK, nice enough but asked a lot of questions that didn't make sense to me, and also brushed aside the large files I brought over from my old gyno & asked me if there was anything in there that was important. Isn't it his job to read & find out? I also still haven't gotten blood test results after nearly 2 weeks because apparently only one person could read them. I would probably not return here for any major reason.

I have to share how great my experience has been with Dr. Seth Finkelstein.
Being in a new city, it is almost impossible to know which doctors are good and which doctors are not, and I can confidently say I made the right choice with Dr. Finkelstein.
He is extremely pleasant, professional and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and that he genuinely cares for my health and wellbeing and I felt safe and taken care of. He took the time to listen to my concerns and gave me thoughtful answers with kindness and never with attitude as many other doctors sometimes do. He is always reachable via email and responding super quick in an inconvenient hours: sometimes at 11pm! sometimes on the weekends as well! This is exceptional!
Dr. Finkelstein did all my exams quick and fast and everything was explained before it was done.
The nurse is in his office is extremely friendly and efficient and made sure to follow up to see if I feel any better.
Also very important- appointments are easy to get and they manage you in the busy schedule. For me is important to know I don't have to wait weeks and months to see my doctor if needed. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Dr. Seth Finkelstein and his staff. It was my first surgical intervention (laparoscopy) and Dr. Finkelstein made me feel comfortable and that I was in good hands. He is a true professional, very knowledgeable and approachable. I am glad that I met him just on time. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Seth's office is utterly ridiculous and very unprofessional. His staff is very unprofessional and not kind to its patients. They sit at the desk discussing non work related issues and they don't do their job effectively. I changed doctors because I relocated out of state and I have been in a battle with them for over a month because they have not released my medical records regarding my pregnancy and every time myself or the new hospital called his staff was unprofessional and no help and I had to threaten them with legal action in order for me to get my records. I would recommend not wasting your time with this doctor because they do not care about the patients at all. You are better off finding someone who actually cares about the patient.

Dr Finkelstein is one of the most knowledgable doctors I have ever met. He is very efficient and does his exams and STD tests very quickly and painlessly. His beautiful office is located in one of the safest and most wonderful areas of Manhattan, the Upper East Side. Not only is Dr Finkelstein a smart, nice doctor, and a clear communicator when explaining your results, he also has an office that is very convenient to get to, and last but not least, is his great staff. His staff members are genuinely nice, friendly and well-trained at their jobs. Dr Finkelstein and his staff go the extra mile for their patients.

Best experience I've had with an OBGYN, and I've been to a few. He provides excellent prenatal care, my csection went very well, and the healing process was astonishingly short! If you are looking for a knowledgable/skilled doctor, I would highly recommend Dr. Finkelstein.

Dr. Finkelstein came highly recommended by another gynocologist and he diagnosed a problem I have had looked at by specialists at Sloan Kettering and one other gynocologist to no avail, they could not find the problem. Dr. Finkelstein not only found the problem but discussed it thoroughly and made sure I understood the how, why and what to do about it. He treated me as a doctor should, as an informed patient. We need more doctors like this.

This was honestly the worst doctor's visit. When I came to the office they did not have my ZocDoc appointment in their books. I was there 10 minutes early since I am a new patient and knew I would have to fill out forms. My appointment was at 3:10 and I did not see the doctor until 4:45. He was only in the room for 2 minutes. I can't believe I waited all that time for a 2 minute swab.
To make matters worse the entire office is a mess from the bathroom to the exam room and the fact that the doctor only put on one glove and touched the swab with his free hand after NOT washing his hands. I will absolutely never go back there again.

do not use if interested in an iud. His entire staff should be more motivated to use basic office equipment. Scanning a file and then sending via email is technology from the 90s.

I understand some other reviews of Dr. Finkelstein if you are looking for a warm and cuddly doctor then he is not for you. I do think he spends the time with you to answer your questions and I never felt rushed when speaking with him. He delivered my son via c-section and if I was different person I might have fought the c-section but just wanted the baby out. My son was delivered without any issue and I thank Dr. Finkelstein for that.
At this stage I do not imagine changing doctors. In fact in the process of booking an apt. to have my tubes tied by him.

This man is inconsiderate, abrassive and treats you like a car. Doesn't even tell you what he's doing down there, poking and proding with various instruments. I asked simple questions and he answered rudely, condescending and seemed very annoyed about everything. He rushed in and out of the room without knocking as I was getting dressed and had random people in the room (the receptionist at one point!) looking at my private area. Horrible. Worst gyno I have ever been to. I feel violated.

I felt like I was at a county hospital, the nurses or MA were not friendly at all treated me like cattle, and the 2hr wait was awfully long. however Dr. Finkeistein was very professional, and apologetic, and promised that it would never happen again, he was efficient and swift during the procedure and made me feel comfortable as he took the time to explain what he was doing prior and during... I'll give him another chance.

Even though the medical assistant was shocked to see me, I enjoyed my experience there. I had to bring my three year old with me and the staff was patient with me and played with him. They have plush couches and cool water to drink and plenty of neat mags to read.

Dr. Finkelstein was kind, gentle, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He thoroughly and patiently answered all my questions and put my fears at ease. When I called and left messages, he called me back within the hour. Honestly, I could not believe how understanding and patient he was while helping me and advising me through a difficult health issue. I appreciated that he shared information on the latest medications and procedures and paired it with his expert recommendation so I could make a well-informed decision. This was my 1st experience with a male OBGYN and I felt completely comfortable with him. I can't thank you enough, Doctor!

Terrible office staff and Dr Finkelstein went ahead with the exam without telling me anything. Bad communication, and when I went to find another OB, the office refused to give me a copy of my medical records (with 3 written requests)! I did not have to wait, but the other 2 women who were booked at the same time as me did!

Dr. Seth Finkelstein is very direct and very open. I like his expertise and knowledge of his profession.
It was my first visit and I was a bit nervous. I guess we will see what he is really about as far as bedside manners. LOL! I was there for a second opinion and appreciated the tests he took right away and his clear feed back. I would definitely go back to him for a second visit.
