His staff was excellent -- considerate, thoughtful, very patient with me as I got lost in the Reston complex, , and a member of his staff even walked a long distance to locate me and escort me to the right garage and location. Routine colonoscopy based on age. Easy treatment from prep to finish, confident team of skilled professionals. Just a lot of paperwork but that's typical. Wait time was 50 minutes but this was within time expected for this procedure -- instructed to arrive one hour in advance.

Dr. Lakhani was born and raised in West Virginia. After completing his undergraduate studies and receiving a Bachelor of Sciences degree at Virginia Tech, he returned to West Virginia to pursue his medical studies and graduated from the Marshall University School of Medicine. Since obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Lakhani has been living in the metropolitan DC area. Dr. Lakhani completed both his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training at the Georgetown University Hospital program at Washington Hospital Center. During that time, he published numerous abstracts and presented his research at several Gastroenterology conferences throughout the country. He has received advanced training in biliary tract diseases and interventional endoscopy. Dr. Lakhani joined the Gastroenterology Group in 2007 and his professional interests include biliary tract disease, liver disease as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer and golf and loves to travel.
