Dr. Osmanovic was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina and came to the United States in 1985 with his wife and children. Before coming to the USA he attended Belgrade University Medical School and Postgraduate School graduating with honors at the top of his class.
He was an Associate Professor in the Department of Patho-Physiology at Belgrade University Medical School. He was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship for the research in neurosciences performed at Department of Physiology and Biophysics, College of Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago.
He finished his internship in Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, University of Illinois at Chicago.
He also attended the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary to receive his fellowship in glaucoma and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology there.
He specializes in Glaucoma, Cataract Surgery, and External Eye Diseases and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
