About Dr. Niki Mehta
Niki Mehta, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry and earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois. An Elk Grove native, Dr. Mehta is excited to join Elk Grove Optical! Dr. Mehta can provide examinations in English and Gujarati.
Upon graduating, Dr. Mehta completed clinical rotations for low vision at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and William Feinbloom Center. Dr. Mehta practices comprehensive eye care, emphasizing contact lens fittings, management of ocular surface diseases, and dry eye management.
Dr. Mehta loves building relationships with her patients to be able to treat their daily visual needs. Dr. Mehta’s goal as an Optometrist is to educate her patients on how complex the visual system is and how it goes far beyond the need for glasses and contacts.
When Dr. Mehta isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and spoiling her dog.

My experience was smooth and not too fast to where I felt rushed! My concerns were heard and answered with honesty. The staff was very helpful and super nice that everyone was open to helping me find my next pair of glasses! I highly recommend this office and I plan on going back if necessary! ?? Great care, complete transparency and explanation of everything that Dr. Mehta was doing, and while busy, complete control of the office, making everyone feel attended to and their needs taken care of.

I dont know her name but the one white lady that works at the front was very rude. Im a very quiet person so it was already a big step for me to even go into a store and I brought my bf to feel more comfortable but she made me feel very very uncomfortable. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but the last straw was when I gave her my card to pay for my exam and instead of giving it back to me she went out of her way to hand it to my bf who was standing a little farther away even though I was sitting right infront of her and It was my card that I physically handed to her. That was a little disrespectful especially since it wasn't even his card or money I dont know why she would do that. She made me feel like I wasn't even there.

Everything was phenomenal, Dr. Mehta is a true professional, she made me feel at ease and took the time to answer all my questions. She gave clear , concise answers and explained everything clearly. She helped recommend a new contact that already feels better than what I originally had. I also purchased lenses after my visit and the rest of the staff were all very nice and helped me pick one that made me feel the most confident! I will definitely be coming back and recommending the rest of my family to come to Dr. Mehta as well.
