“I had a mixed experience at this clinic. Dr. Kate's medical expertise is undeniable. She listened carefully to my concerns and provided effective treatment for my vision correction and headaches. Ashley was also a pleasure to work with during the initial exams. However, the administrative side of the clinic needs serious improvement. The errors in my paperwork regarding my gender, and the initial lack of concern from staff, were unacceptable. While the issue was eventually resolved, the experience left me feeling disrespected and hesitant to return. I would recommend Dr. Kate's medical services, but caution potential patients to double-check all paperwork.”

About Dr. Katharine Schooley
Katherine Schooley, O.D., obtained her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois State University.
Dr. Schooley then went on to complete her externship training focusing on ocular disease, pediatrics, binocular vision disorders, and specialty contact lenses. She provides comprehensive eye exams with a special interest in myopia management and ocular surface disease. She also manages pre- and post-operative care for patients with cataracts and refractive surgeries. Dr. Schooley has a passion for helping others with the goal of optimizing their best quality of life through vision. She is looking forward to building trustworthy, long-lasting relationships with her patients of all ages, but she does have a soft spot for the kiddos!
Beyond her professional pursuits, she has a passion for exploring the world, enjoying outdoor activities, and savoring diverse culinary experiences both at restaurants and within the comfort of her own kitchen.
