Smita Aggarwal, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified pediatric dermatologist. Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Dr. Aggarwal earned an undergraduate degree from Duke University and medical degree from the University of Kansas. She then completed her dermatology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, and subsequently pursued a prestigious pediatric dermatology fellowship at Lurie Children’s Hospital, affiliated with Northwestern University, where she trained under several leaders and pioneers in the field. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, member of the Chicago Dermatological Society, and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
Dr. Aggarwal has published and presented over a wide range of topics in dermatology, including infantile hemangiomas, acne, and toxic epidermal necrolysis. She has conducted research in vaccine development at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Aggarwal received the Ronald McDonald Children’s Hospital Research Award for her interest in cardiovascular co-morbidities associated with pediatric psoriasis, and MAGIS Star Award for outstanding service and care from Loyola University Medical Center.
While Dr. Aggarwal strives to provide compassionate and personalized care to patients of all age, her training in pediatric dermatology provides her with particular expertise in caring for even our smallest patients. Her clinical interests include autoimmune and inflammatory diseases in both the adult and pediatric population, vascular birthmarks, psoriasis, and the prevention and management of skin cance

I was the first appointment of the day and was In an out in 15 minutes. Dr. Aggarwal was very easy to talk to, thorough in performing my skin check, and helped answer questions I had about my natural skincare regimen. Very clean, spacious and bright office.

I don’t think any doctor I’ve seen has stayed in the room with me for that long or had the patience that she did. After doing the full body exam she gave me the chance to ask any questions I had and she was super helpful and nice. I will definitely be sticking with Dr. Aggarwal.

It is rare to find a doctor who takes the time to thoroughly address your questions and concerns - Dr. Aggarwal is the exception. She was so helpful, in both addressing my concerns and educating me on how to best care for my skin / skin conditions in a way that was easy to understand. I will be highly recommending her to any of my friends in need of a dermatologist.

Dr. Aggarwal is warm, thorough and very knowledgable about all aspects of her practice. I've seen her for acne issues and for injections. I always leave with hardly any noticeable injection marks or redness. She makes you feel comfortable, and does not push any products or unnecessary work!

Dr. Aggarwal was wonderful, and extremely accommodating — I had been running late and I arrived exactly 15 minutes late and she was still able to take me despite having other patients after me. I didn’t feel rushed, she was very friendly and though I have a habit to get overly excited and ask a million questions she still answered them all and gave me a print out of the instructions and prescribed me things that could be used in conjunction with my regular facial treatments/peels. Her office staff is also wonderful and there is a kid friendly area which is unique in my experience. I heard of her thru a friend and after accompanying my friend to her visit to Dr. Aggarwal I decided to see her myself and I’m glad I did! Highly recommend.
