I specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a variety of mental disorders including mood, anxiety, psychosis, ADHD, eating disorders, insomnia and other psychosocial issues such as relationship problems, parenting, stress management and coping issues. I counsel patients from early childhood through adulthood and provide parental training to parents with young children with behavioral problems and special needs. I am available for consultation, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, couples therapy and parent training.
I completed Psychiatric Residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine followed by a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Forensic Psychiatry. This provided specialized training in identification of developmental issues, and ability to treat psychiatric symptoms and disorders in complex medically ill patients.
I hold affiliation with Georgetown University School of Medicine, and am board certified by the ABPN. I am able to accommodate patients next day or within the week. I understand how difficult it is to get an appointment in our area. Call me to discuss your treatment goals.
