About Dr. Staceyann Smith

Staceyann Smith, MD, MPH, is an Attending Physician at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, specializing in childhood obesity, public health, and adolescent health. In addition to this, she is also interested in vulnerable populations. Dr. Smith an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
In 2009, Dr. Smith received her Bachelor of Science in Human Science from Georgetown University. She then attended the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and School of Public Health, where she received her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health in 2015. Dr. Smith is currently completing her residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
Dr. Smith is a Data Collector for the Healthy Plans Project with St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. This project aims to facilitate family understanding of health problems and promote health literacy. Her work has been published in journals and presented regionally.
In 2014, Dr. Smith received the Urban Service Track Leadership Fellowship Award. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
