Dr. Melzer treats Colorado Ophthalmology patients at both the Denver and Lakewood offices. Dr. Melzer provides excellent primary eye care, including contact lens fittings and the general management of ocular diseases like macular degeneration and glaucoma.
Dr. Melzer grew up in Littleton, CO. After graduating from Columbine High School she attended Colorado State University where she earned degrees in International Studies and Spanish. She then completed optometry school in Forest Grove, Oregon, graduating with honors from Pacific University in 2015. Dr. Melzer preformed internships at a refractive surgery center in Denver, CO, a private ophthalmology practice in Fairfield, CT, as well as the Veteran's Affair Medical Center in Lexington, KY and the Indian Health Service in Santa Fe, NM.
Dr. Melzer has traveled to Haiti and El Salvador to provide eye care to under-served populations, and most recently, has worked with Children without Borders and VOSH international to provide eye exams to children in Costa Rica. She also completed a student fellowship through the American Academy of Optometry.
In her free time, Dr. Melzer enjoys traveling, backpacking, and cycling, as well as sampling the many restaurants in the Denver area. She also looks forward to spending time with family.

Professional and willing to explain when necessary. I was early getting there, and they still began my appointment within 5 minutes of arrival. An assistant did most of the tests, then Dr. Melzer double-checked a few and completed with the cataract assessment.

I was not too impressed with the staffs confidence in doing their job. My Husband had an exam a few days before me and never received all the paperwork\ rx he should have. Now we will probably need to go back to pick up all his Prescriptions that he was supposed to get the first time.
I would go here in a pinch or a medical emergency, but otherwise we will keep looking for a more permeate eye doctor

Dr S. Melzer was very professional, thorough, and answered any questions I had regarding my vision that I had been wondering about for a long time. So pleased with her manner and this office also had done cataract surgery on my Mother which helped her tremendously. Beth also was very helping and thorough in her examining of my eyes. Also, I finally got a good eye glass prescription and was able to get glasses right in the office there with Christine. It is all so convenient too.
The front desk staff were perfect also and very efficient.
