Dr. Stephen Carryl is a Board Certified surgeon with extensive experience in minimally invasive (Laparoscopic) and conventional bariatric surgery. Director of the Weight Loss Surgery Center at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, Dr. Carryl previously served as the hospital’s Chairman of Surgery and Director of the General Surgical Residency program.
He has also served at St. Mary’s Hospital (Brooklyn, NY) where he was Associate Director of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Carryl is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and the American College of Surgeons. He is a Member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons and has received advanced training in Bariatrics from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine (New York, NY), Montefiore Hospital (Bronx, NY) and Virginia Commonwealth University
