Dr. Cooper continued his medical education at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, where he received his psychiatric residency training.
Having extensive academic and clinical experience, Dr. Cooper directed the inpatient psychiatric unit at the Stamford Hospital, and during that time, served as the Clinical Director of Psychiatry. He taught residents from the New York Medical College and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
