Dr. Gomberg has long been interested in the field of osteoporosis. In 1995, he installed and operated the first DEXA Bone Mineral Density scanner in the Conejo Valley, and introduced the concept of early diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis to the medical community. He has continued his interest in osteoporosis and devotes a good deal of his practice to providing consultation services for the community.
Dr. Gomberg graduated Medical School with a degree of Doctor of Medicine, Magna Cum Laud, and was awarded membership in the honorary Alpha Omega Alpha Society. After completing his Orthopaedic Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, he was commissioned as a Major in the United States Air Force and served two years as Senior Staff Orthopaedic Surgeon at USAF Keesler Medical Center at Biloxi, Mississippi.
Upon completing his military service, Dr. Gomberg and his wife moved to Thousand Oaks, California where he has practiced for the past for 38 years. He has served as Chief of Orthopaedics at Westlake Hospital, and as a member of the Orthopaedic staff at Los Robles Hospital. In 2003, he retired from the active hospital staff and has since limited his practice to the non-surgical treatment of bone, muscle and joint diseases.
Dr. Gomberg is married, has two children and grandchildren, and lives with his wife Linda and his yellow Lab Brisco in Thousand Oaks, California.

The staff is very kind & caring as well as Dr. Gomberg and Dr. Pizitz. Dr. Gomberg (who I saw today) never seems rushed, takes his time with you. Explains everything very well.

Great doctor. I had an injection in my knee which could have been a very painful experience. Dr. Gomberg was very gentle and quick. He is very kind & funny too!
