Dr. Peterson is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle problems as well as general musculoskeletal ailments. After earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Peterson completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Medical Center. Dr. Peterson exemplifies all of the attributes you would want in a doctor. He gave me his full undivided attention and was such a good listener when I described my injury history and symptoms. His calmness was very comforting and made me feel safe and valued. He was able to refer me to physical therapy immediately and also demonstrated some stretching and exercises that I could do to strengthen my injury. The staff was quick and efficient and professional. I would highly recommend visiting this state of the art practice and this professional doctor!

Impressed with first visit!
My appointment was changed to Dr. Peterson however I am pleased that I had my consultation with him. Its great to visit a doctor who takes the time to converse, learn how the patient is feeling, how the injury happened, shared detailed information on the condition and reasons for the course of action suggested. Dr. Peterson also made sure, I understood what I should do an expect in my recovery. Dr. Peterson was friendly, so was his team from the receptionist, X-Ray specialist to the nurse who assisted me with the special shoes needed at the end of my appointment. For my first visit extremely happy and look forward to my recovery with Dr. Peterson and his team.

Dr. Peterson and staff were great! The staff were awesome and nice from check-in to X-rays. Friendly bedside manner from the staff to Dr. Peterson and great customer service. They took the time to listen to my questions and answer them and if I was confused, they were patient with me to help me understand. I would definitely be back to see Dr. Peterson. Dr. Peterson was also thorough in his examination and provided me some valuable tips for the health of my feet, knees and joints. Also his office is in a great location for me in El Segundo and is provided by the Keck school of medicine by USC facility, which I even love further because I am a FIGHT ON TROJAN alum ???

After dealing with foot pain for the past year, I finally decided to see a specialist. Based upon reviews online, I came across Dr Alexander Peterson. I booked the appton ZocDoc. Very user friendly site. They got me in within that week. The office was very easy to locate. The sign in process literally took 10 minutes and I was called into a room immediately. My wait time was maybe 5 minutes for everything! The nurse, X-rays & then Dr Peterson entered my room within 5 minutes with results of the X-rays . He spent time with me, he listened to me with my complaints & questions. He took his time examining my foot. Then recommended MRI & CAT scan before moving forward with diagnosis. He was very kind, great bedside manner!
My appointment was at 2:00 and I walked out of the office at 3:00! Amazing!
I already received a follow up call from his office this morning! I highly recommend Dr Peterson and KECK ortho!

I saw Dr. Peterson for a broken fifth metatarsal (Jones fracture). His attention to detail and thorough assessment (touching my foot and moving it in different ways to assess my range of motion and level of pain) made me feel confident that I was being looked after professionally and with great care. Dr. Peterson laid out the options for me without ever pressuring me to go for one or the other, which meant surgery or not surgery. I can tell he really respects the individual choice of the patient. I am a very active person and sports are a big part of my life. If you are too, I think you can't go wrong with choosing Dr. Peterson.

Dr. Petersen's office is in a unique location so I was unsure whether I was in the correct location, but once I followed the signs, I was greeted by a very efficient front desk person. Although I was unable to complete all the paperwork prior to my arrival, I was escorted to my exam room within 5-7 minutes after arrival. His medical assistant was very friendly & helpful. The x-ray tech was also super prompt. I had my x-rays within minutes & was back in my exam room before I knew it. Dr. Petersen has a very warm and compassionate bedside manner. I was seeing him for a cyst on my finger, but after sharing my long orthopedic history I learned he's a foot and ankle specialist. OMG, I've been looking for a good foot and ankle specialist for over 10 years. I found him!!! Yay!!
Dr. Petersen referred me to his "great hand specialist" in Beverly Hills, but I have also found my new foot/ankle orthopedist. He's a young, kind, compassionate doctor who's a great listener. He's my new orthopedist!

Dr Peterson listened carefully to all of my concerns. He treated me with respect and care, and took his time to explain all options for me. Dr. Peterson was great! I injured my knee while skiing and he checked the injury site thoroughly to make sure nothing was missed and to understand the full extent of the injury. The office is located by the ice rink in the sports center, tucked away in a comfortable and clean space, and is very high tech. Highly recommend for any injuries, not just sports injuries!
