Wow, Dr. Kamajian was wonderful. He addressed my needs in professional but extremely kind way. His bedside manner is unlike many physicians and I am sure this has and will aid in his extreme successes as a DO. He was very thorough in explaining things to me but also extremely approachable in receiving questions. I am grateful that my current doctor was extremely delayed in returning my calls because Dr. K will likely be my new, primary care physician. Thanks again!

The board-certified family practice specialist has spent his 30-plus-year career on the frontlines of health care, serving patients from the youngest to the oldest. He's treated people in traditional hospital settings as well as in skilled nursing facilities and hospice centers.
Dr. Kamajian earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also took his skills to where he considered them most in need and founded the Westminster Free Clinic. Not satisfied with merely establishing another clinical environment, Dr. Kamajian employed the medical home model decades before health care reform and legislated “accountable care” came into play. Simply put, he saw this innovative model as an effective means to give the hard-to-reach, low-income patient population access not only to physicians like himself but also to dentists, pharmacists, nurses, mental health counselors, allied health professionals, attorneys, and others.
As health care enters a new phase, physicians are challenged to adjust to new schools of thought, but Dr. Kamajian has long looked beyond traditional practice philosophies. For example, he's been an enthusiastic proponent of adapting successful strategies from other industries. If the policy of disruptive innovation-in which management steps aside to allow those closest to the process or problem to freely brainstorm solutions-works in the corporate world, why couldn't it be equally successful in the medical setting?

My visit was pretty dehumanizing. I scheduled online but they did not seem to know who I was and did not get my name right. I had to wait over an hour past my appointment time before I was seen. The doctors tone was gruff and almost aggressive. He asked me a bunch of questions and then finished the exam by saying "Get dressed & we'll talk." The next thing I knew I was being directed to check out and being referred to other doctors. We did not discuss the visit or his thoughts about my health, leaving me with no conclusion. Very unsettling. I won't be going back to him.

I was very unsatisfied with my visit to Dr. Kamajian. After waiting an hour past my appointment to be seen, I had to go through my family's medical history not once, but twice. I told Dr. Kamajian that I had been struggling with depression lately and was extremely disappointed when he began to talk to me as if my unhappiness was situational rather than medical. It did not feel like he really listened to what I was saying.

very inconsistent staff in office - my last visit left me waiting for over an hour without anyone checking in. i almost left.

Dr. Kamajian was very personable and kind. He spent time speaking with me and was thorough.
However, it was inconvenient to have to schedule another appointment to get basic things done - I needed to get some general labs done and a pap smear, and I wanted to get that done at the same time as my annual physical, since it's hard for me to get time off from work (I was told they don't do weekend appointments). They only do pap smears in the morning for some reason, so I had to reschedule that, and they gave me a lab order form to take to a separate lab place to get my blood drawn. My last physician just did everything at once, which made sense and was more convenient, time-wise. That was the only downside to the visit.
