Originally from a small town in Wyoming, Dr. Kennedy loves living in California! She received her undergraduate degree in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College where she also studied the Russian language. After working as a tobacco policy researcher at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Dr. Kennedy was motivated to pursue a career in medicine to work on health behavior change with her patients. She attended medical school at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine where she was elected to both the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. She then completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). As a third year resident, Dr. Kennedy participated in the Train New Trainers Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship at UC Irvine / UC Davis to better serve her patients with mental health needs. Dr. Kennedy really enjoys the doctor-patient relationship and caring for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Her clinical interests include helping patients struggling with substance use, anxiety, and depression.
