Dr. Sunita Satwani joined Riverside Pediatric Group in 2009. She cares for children in our Bayonne office. Dr. Satwani obtained her medical degree from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, India, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1998. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital, in Brooklyn, NY, in 2005.
Dr. Satwani is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has a special interest in caring for children with asthma and allergies. Dr. Satwani works very closely with parents to design effective long-term management and control of asthma symptoms. According to her, her “first and foremost rule when it comes to taking care of patients is always listen to the parents, as parents are almost always right. They know their child best.” As is evident by her caring and nurturing demeanor, Dr. Satwani chose to become a pediatrician in order to “make a difference in the lives of people.”
Dr. Satwani lives with her husband and two sons in New Jersey. Her husband is an oncologist who performs Bone Marrow Transplants at Columbia Hospital in New York. She is crazy about her sons and loves to travel around the world with her family.
