Throughout her career, Sylvia has demonstrated a commitment to clinical excellence and leadership. She earned both her Bachelor's degree and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University. Sylvia played a pivotal role in expanding a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. She has been actively involved with the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA), serving as President of the Arizona chapter from 2020 to 2024 and as a member of the SUNA Planning Committee from 2019 to 2021. Sylvia joined Optum in 2024, where she continues to apply her skills and knowledge to improve patient outcomes and integrate into the community. In 2024, Sylvia relocated to New York with her husband and their cat. Shortly after their move, they welcomed a new addition to their family, a baby girl named Violet. In her spare time, Sylvia enjoys traveling, dining, walking, hiking, exercising, and exploring. Sylvia's dedication to her profession and her role as a caregiver both at work and at home define her as a leader in healthcare and a devoted family person.
