About Dr. Michael Amirian
Michael J. Amirian, MD, a urologic surgeon, is an assistant professor of clinical urology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an attending surgeon in the division of urology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. He is board certified in urology and urologic surgery and has advanced training in stone disease, voiding dysfunction, and robotic surgery. Dr. Amirian has been practicing for more than nine years, providing medical and surgical treatment for conditions, including kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and erectile dysfunction. He is a dedicated physician and utilizes the latest technology to deliver high quality and personalized care to his patients. He delivers lectures and presentations on medical urology ans surgical procedures and has published book chapters, abstracts, and research in an array of national and international medical journals. Dr. Amirian earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He remained there to complete his residency in urologic surgery, where he was named Chief Resident in his final year. He is interested in international medicine and volunteerism and was selected to travel to Ghana as a resident scholar to help establish a surgical workshop. Dr. Amirian is fluent in English and Farsi.
