About Dr. Tayaba Fatema
Dr. Tayaba Fatema is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College. She completed her internship and residency training in Pediatrics at The University of Kansas, Wichita. She has been in practice since 1998.
Working with children always came naturally for Dr. Fatema. She feels that the most satisfying aspect of being a physician is building strong, lasting, trusting relationships with patients and their parents. It is important to her to be open and honest and to help educate patients to become knowledgeable about their health. Dr. Fatema believes in creating a partnership with her patients so that together they can develop a treatment plan that works for each individual.
Watching children grow and move through different developmental milestones is incredibly rewarding for Dr. Fatema. It is an honor to know that she plays a small role in their healthy development. She encourages her patients to take advantage of their regular well-child visits, immunizations, and preventive care to stay healthy. As a mother, she understands that caregivers and parents know their children best and works closely with each parent to provide the best care for their child.
Dr. Fatema's vision of a successful doctor-patient/parent relationship is a team approach to health care. Her role is to provide each parent with the information, tools, and support needed to raise healthy, happy children.

My daughter was sick. She was passing out in the waiting room. They started taking people who had appts after us and when I inquired they said they had to verify her insurance before they could call her back. I told them she is sick I will pay her fee and the Dr came out and stayed to call her c bc ack immediately but no one would still see her till he insurance, that I sent over the day before, was verified.
The Dr called me several times after the visit in that I had to rush my daughter to the ER. But part of that is she was not given the attention she deserved at the office visit.

My only concern is my son is a new patient and was prescribed some medication after the visit only to drive to the pharmacy after an hour and half to know the prescription was not sent yet. I called the office and they resent it to my pharmacy which I had to wait another 45 minutes. I couldn’t wait since I had a baby at home to care for. Appointment was at 11:45am and I got home at 3:24pm because of the medication which I couldn’t wait any longer to pick up! I don’t know if I will be returning. I’m not optimistic about things but this I can’t say much!

My experience here has always been pleasant. From the people behind the desk, to the doctor herself. She was informative and gentle with my daughter. I made the appointment last minute for the next day and had no trouble at all.

First off, my son went in for a check up, but not one vital was taken. The nurse took his temperature and weight and asked some questions and that was it. There was more paperwork done than the actually examaning him. Secondly, I've never seen a dirty doctor's office, but this one really needs work. The doctor's lab coat had visible black dirt on the sleeves. The walls and floors were dirty. And, there was no tissue in the in the restroom and it was also very dirty. I walked out and saw a brand new roll sitting on the receptionist desk, so I just grabbed it and put it on the tissue holder myself. This place could really be a good doctor's office if they cleaned it up and organized a bit. And it sucks because everyone there was so nice and professional. Please do better.
