Thaiduc Nguyen, DO, was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, and immigrated to the United States when he was 11 years old. After graduating from Louisiana State University with honors in 1986 with his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, he then worked for the next 10 years as a Senior Principal Avionics Software Engineer at Lockheed/Honeywell. Although his work as a Software Engineer was challenging and rewarding, Dr. Nguyen always had a passion for medicine since he was young. Coupled with the desire to help others along with the determination to fulfill his lifelong dream, Dr. Nguyen decided to return to school, and in 2001, he obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Nguyen then completed his Anesthesiology residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in 2005 followed by his Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at University of Cincinnati in 2006. Dr. Thaiduc Nguyen is Double Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is well versed in all minimally invasive interventional pain procedures in addition to medically managing patient pain symptoms. He also has provided anesthesia for outpatient surgical procedures. Dr. Nguyen was honored by being selected to receive Patients’ Choice Award in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. In addition, he was also voted as a Top 10 Doctor, State of Ohio in 2014. Dr. Nguyen has been affiliated with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter. He also enjoys travelling, tennis, swimming, kayaking, and music. Dr. Nguyen is very happy to move from Ohio to sunny Florida and extremely thrilled to join a team of outstanding physicians at Florida Pain Institute.
