Patient reviews for Dr. Theodore Harrison
Accurately diagnosed and treated my congestion issues. My quality of life has improved so dramatically since my procedure with Dr. Harrison.
Like always the service is extremely professional from the receptionist to the doctor. The environment in the office is very clean and welcoming.
Dr. Harrison and the front office manager were phenooomenal. Despite having to work through minor renovations, they were extremely professional, patient and kind. The doctor tended to my chief complaints and immediately resolved my throat problem...IN THE OFFICE ...and after just 1 visit!!! He also cleared up and addressed nasal/breathing issues that he quickly noted I was suffering from. (It was slightly uncomfortable but expected... after all, he had to get inside my nose and throat to clear up some blockage by pulling out gunk). There's but only so much Dr. Harrison can do in 1 visit, especially since the additional work I need requires imaging to be done. However, I am very much looking forward to my next visit since I've no doubt Dr. Harrison WILL find (and fix) whatever's wrong! He's truly an EXPERT in his field and a very rare find in a sea of others that just want to take your money and send you on your way!!! This is definitely not the case with Dr. Harrison. He genuinely cares about the service and satisfactory results of each treatment he renders to each patient he touches! (At least, thats exactly how I felt!!!) I almost regret giving this review since I don't want to have to struggle on getting future appt's (don't judge me, lolz... I know, very selfish). However, I realize there are probably many others out there (like me) trying to find at least a "good" doctor w/ the knowledge and expertise to actually help, whereas Dr. Harrison is a GREAT doctor, one that provides effective and immediate solutions and relief. I love my new ENT doctor! May God continue to bless his years, his practice, staff and loved ones! Truly an extraordinary physician!
Thoroughly examined me I feel comfortable under his care. Would recommend him to others.
The office was extremely run down and unclean. He used outdated rusty equipment to irrigate my ears and the Office tap H20 was completely brown coming out of the faucet! He said I needed to come back every two weeks for the foreseeable future to irrigate my ears (???)
So thorough. Crass humor but he’s fantastic!
Dr Harrison was thorough and pleasant. He answered all my questions. Office staff was very sweet. Would recommend highly
Dr. Harrison was very thorough. I felt comfortable at all times and am confident that a received excellent treatment.
Appreciated the promptness!
Great visit as always.
He’s friendly and knowledable. Yes, wait time was a while, but he spent plenty of time we me and addressed all my issues through.
The staff is super sweet! Dr. Harrison is really knowledgable. It was an enjoyable appointment.
He took care of my problem which was stopped up ears from swimming.
Dr. Harrison is top notch. Always a great experience
It’s always a pleasure visiting Dr. Harrison’s office.
The reception women was so sweet and spunky! The Dr himself was awesome! I had an infection in my polyps (he stuck a camera in my nose) that had dripped down to my throat. He quickly set me off with a prescription of antibiotics and I was back in action a few days later. Thank you Doctor for helping me!
I was seen right away. The office was very professional. Jill was very helpful and sweet. Dr. Harrison was very professional, nice and even funny. He got to the core of my problem right away and I think I will be helped by the medication he gave me. He explained everything step by step and I would recommend Dr. Harrison and his office 100%.
He was very pleasant but didn’t talk me through what exactly he was doing and why until I asked.
Dr. Harrison was direct but caring in his approach, and had a way of explaining his care plan that put my mind at ease. His receptionist was also very nice. I will continue to see him.
Be warned - The worst possible doctor visit I have encountered and I want all of you reading to be careful with future booking. Front desk was not helpful at all. They will ignore all your questions and then SHOCK you with outrageous bill. They are not honest people! Avoid at all cost please.
customer service lady with very bad attitude.
I saw doctor Harrison because my normal doctor was promoted to a new position outside my insurance network coverage. I scheduled the first appointment of the day, 9:30a. When I arrived 15 minutes early neither the receptionist nor the doctor was in. The receptionist showed up just before 9:30 and let me in. The doctor arrived next. Then another patient for his 9:30 appointment, who was seen first. When the doctor saw me, I described why I was there in specific terms I've used with my doctor in the past (same issue for 10 years) and he told me "not to use medical terms I don't know the meaning of". I explained the meaning of the term I used, and he was noticeably embarrassed, then apologized. Next I requested a simple nasal scope my normal doctor performed at my routine visits for the last 10 years. Dr. Harrison jammed gauze to apply a local anesthetic into my nose and sinuses coarsely. It hurt much more than the procedure itself ever has. The next day there was inflammation, followed by a sinus infection a couple days later. Finally, I requested a prescription the doctor said he would call into the pharmacy for which I have him the information. He never did.
Extremely thorough and professional!
- 40 min wait - barely made eye contact - long pauses staring at laptop working on other patient information (which was visible to me) - tools & setup looked like they were from the 80s and didn't look clean
Refuse to return under any circumstances. The most unclean/dirty, disorganized, outdated office I have ever entered.
Dr. Harrison was informative and had a professional bedside manner.
Very friendly! I had a wax blockage, he was able to get it out in about two minutes! Would absolutely return if I had another ENT issue.
I went back in time when entering this office. Office is gross and very outdated. Scoping was painful and tools were obsolete. Doctor was a bit of a mess and a little rough. Don’t go.
Very thorough description of what was going on. I felt well informed about what was going on and what to do.
Zero professionalism. No gloves was used and he was touching the cotton he wanted to put in my nose with his hands. Didn't had a highly tech equipment.
Terrific visit with Dr Harrison. Everything went smoothly and I will be back. A note to Zoc Doc: I went through pre-registration and filled out all paperwork ahead of time but it did not transfer to office so I had to fill it all out again when arriving.
This was such a positive medical visit. Beginning with the Receptionist/Admin who was warm, attentive and paid attention to detail. Dr. Harrison was professional, thorough and personable, carefully explaining to me my diagnosis along with the treatment with great care and a little humor which certainly relaxed my anxiety. Both encouraged that I call the office if I had any questions, concerns, complications. Felt like I was in good hands. Highly recommend.
The secretary is kind and always ready to assist you! Dr. Harrison is funny and very professional.
This was single handedly the WORST dr experience ive EVER had. So bad that i got up and left 5 minutes after meeting the dr! They dont take cards which was weird to begin with. When i was taken into the room, the equpment looked like it was from 1900. Ive been to several ents over the years due to sinus issues, and ive never seen anything like this. The room was a mess. There were two little chairs and no examination table or the normal big chair that ents usually have you sit in. When the dr came in he was extremely rude and condescending! He interrupted me in the middle of telling him my issues. Ive never been treated like that by a medical professional before. I got up and left before he treated me because i was so appalled and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, the dr himself looks like hes from the 1900s, looks 20 years older than his picture on the website, and the fact that he only takes cash and has severly outdated equipment makes me wonder whether hes even legally allowed to practice! Ive been using zocdoc since 2009, and recommend this service all the time. Ive never had this sort of issue. This doctor is awful and should be removed from the site.
I found Dr. Harrison's bedside manner to be gruff. Communication was inattentive and unsatisfactory. There was not a clear diagnosis at the end of the visit.
I liked both Dr Harrison and the overall feel of his office. The woman that greeted me at the front desk was so nice. Would definitely recommend
While the office is dated it becomes clear soon enough that he is very experienced and has been there for years . BTW , it's opposite Washington Square Park , not bad . He shares his vast experience in a conversational manner discussing pros and cons of treatment options .
It's a nice experience. Very gentil doing the procedures and has good sense of humor.
Very nice staff that make it very easy to comprehend whatever the heck is going on with you. The doctor is curt and rather condescending, but that doesn't really bother me when he backed in up with information and a genuine desire to solve whatever is ailing you. I went in to figure out what was up, and left feeling like I'd be able to get better soon. I can't say the same thing about doctors who sugar coat and enable your nonsense, then cause you to end up on the phone with Quest for five hours.
Dr. Harrison was very Professional and yet very Personable. I will Highly recommend him.
Dr. Harrison was very thorough. He did a detail assessment of my situation and made several suggestions for treatment. He was clear with the explanation of tests done. He explained all precautionary measures, all side effects and possible solutions and answered all of my questions.
I was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. Great bedside manner. Receptionist was attentive. I will go back again.
Dr. Harrison was so worth the wait. Initially I was getting antsy about the hour-long wait as the office was backed up, but when I finally met with Dr. Harrison, I realized you cannot put a price on a doctor who takes the time to make sure his patients needs are fully met. He had an excellent bedside manner that truly put me at ease and he was incredibly patient and reassuring as I asked several questions. Dr. Harrison gave me a thorough examination alongside addressing the concerns that had initially brought me in which i appreciated as I was able to leave with peace of mind. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others and will be going back myself for my ENT needs.
Funny and personable doctor. Quick turnaround time.
Good and pleasant and professional.
The office is a bit old and disheveled. He has a very grumpy demeanor and rushed through the appointment. He didn't seem to like me asking all these questions about the diagnosis and when I had my phone out to write down the steps to what I needed to do with my medicine I was told to put my phone away. But he's the closest to work so I'll have continue going.
I think,I made the right choice for Dr. Theodore H.to be my EENT DR..I felt their concerned to their patients, care & understanding.
Nice and friendly man that makes the procedure comfortable and also enjoyable. He cares about getting the problem solved in the long term which is amazing. Has equipment specific to sinus problems which can really find out what's wrong with you.
Dr. Sherman was very nice, low key and spent time explaining my problem and making sure I wasn't worried about any other issues. I wasn't rushed out and felt very comfortable with the visit. I will say that the office is understated and you can tell he's been there a long time so it could probably use a fresh coat of paint (if I'm being picky). Regardless I would highly recommend him as he is no nonsense, friendly and clearly knows his field.
