Tom Saglimbeni is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and HIV Advanced Practice Nurse. He previously worked in a variety of settings, including the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, inpatient HIV/AIDS unit and Hospice Care.
Tom received his MSN from Columbia University, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BSN from Stony Brook University and earned his BS in exercise physiology from Skidmore College where he still holds the Skidmore College record in the 200 Butterfly set as captain of the men's varsity swim team. He is also an active member of the Nursing Honor Society-Sigma Theta Tau. His interests include internal medicine, men’s health and infectious disease. He is currently completing his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Wilkes University.
Tom is able to diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions through ordering and interpreting diagnostics tests, prescribing medications and providing patient education. As a Nurse Practitioner, Tom focuses on health promotion, disease prevention, and health counseling to guide patients in making informed decisions. Outside of health care, Tom is a US National Trainer and Presenter for the Les Mills group fitness programs BODATTACK and BODYSTEP. Tom is a New York native and currently resides in the Inwood area of Manhattan.

He is nice but took Just took too much time and don’t mention about the lab they work with for the blood work ... sitting in the lab for 40min still not getting it done for withdrawing some blood?!?! And it’s not even many people waiting. Just SLOW

Tom was knowledgeable, caring, efficient, and open. He has a lot of different angles of experience that he brings to the role. I think I've finally found a primary care provider that I can trust. Felt like he was more sane and a better listener than most of the doctors I've seen.

This was my initial visit at this doctors office and I have been impressed so far. I was greeted by the receptionist as soon I entered the front office. I was called into the back well within the first five minutes of finishing my paperwork.
Tom was very warm and an active listener. He engaged in general conversation (getting to know) whole integrating his medial procedures. He even shared some medial facts of which I wasn’t aware.
When exiting, another office worker who was preoccupied and not physically at the front desk acknowledged me to see if I required any assistance. I had a pretty good overall experience!

Tom is personable, knowledgeable, and calm. I've enjoyed all my visits with him, despite sometimes not feeling well myself or needing assistance with discomfort. He has always come out shortly after I arrived and is efficient in diagnosing and treating any situation. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone!
