Hi there, I'm Tiffiney!
Hello, I'm Tiffiney Burchett, a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). I take a compassionate, patient-centered approach to mental healthcare, with a focus on treating mood and anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where we can work together to develop a personalized plan that supports your mental wellness.
My approach
My approach to care is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep commitment to individualized treatment. I strive to meet each patient where they are, creating a safe, non-judgmental environment that allows for open communication and genuine connection. I believe that mental healthcare is most effective when it is tailored to the unique needs, experiences, and goals of each person. I integrate evidence-based practices to support meaningful change. I also draw from trauma-informed care principles to ensure that all aspects of treatment are sensitive to past experiences and prioritize a sense of safety and respect.
My focus
I work primarily with adults over 18 who are navigating a range of mental health challenges. My focus areas include mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders. I am especially passionate about helping individuals manage complex emotions, improve their coping skills, and enhance their overall quality of life.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I strive to create a relaxed, open environment in which patients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and experiences. In our sessions, I prioritize active listening and open dialogue, encouraging patients to ask questions, express concerns, and work at their own pace.
