Dr. Toby Shawe founded Skin Smart in 2002 to put her philosophy of "cosmetically elegant" care into practice.
Dr. Shawe earned her MD in Lille, France after completing her bachelor of science degree at Columbia University in New York. She completed postgraduate training at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia in internal medicine as well as dermatology.
Prior to founding Skin Smart, Dr. Shawe taught dermatology at MCP-Hahnemann University hospitals and saw patients in Flourtown and Roxborough.
She and her husband, Dr. Samy Badawy, have three children.

This was my first visit, and I liked Dr. Shawe. She was friendly, thorough and efficient. I had three growths removed and was in her office for about a half hour at the most. I will return to Dr. Shawe next year for another exam.

Excellent. I have roscea and Dr Shawe sat with and took the time to explain to me what I could when I get flare ups and how to change my diet. She takes the time to listen to what is going on. I love her and wouldn't go to anyone else. I highly recommend her.

Very little wait time, and Dr. Shawe was very helpful. She was obviously expert in treating rosacea, and was also very nice and respectful. The staff is also great, gave samples of what was prescribed, and the prescriptions were sent electronically to the pharmacist. I'll be back.

Office called back to confirm the appointment....the Dr. was professional and personable.....and to me that was the most important aspect of the visit .....the time spent by the Dr. to explain what she was going to be doing. and why!!!! I have been to many dermatologists. Dr. Toby Shawe is the greatest. She spent so much time with me explaining everything I needed to do and use for my problem with rosacea. Also, the receptionist, Dana and the administrative assistant, Brittany, were so kind to me. I would recommend Dr. Toby Shawe to all of my friends.

The visit was great, Dr. Shawe is professional and has a very warm and friendly manner. Unfortunately, the office did not have notification of my appointment. Your system did not work properly as the physician's office was not notified of my appointment. Luckily, the staff at Dr. Shawe's office was as nice as Dr. Shawe is, and they allowed me to be seen even though they did not know about my appointment.
