About Dr. Ha Linh Vu

Ha Linh Vu, MD, PhD is a board-certified dermatologist who practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology in patients of all ages. She has a special interest in the treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Vu received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude. She furthered her education at Thomas Jefferson University, earning both her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. During her time there, she was recognized as a distinguished member of the Hobart Armory Hare Medical Honor Society and garnered accolades for her research dedicated to melanoma. Following a preliminary medicine year at Einstein Medical College, Dr. Vu successfully completed her dermatology residency at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Medical Association. Born in Vietnam and raised in New York City, Dr. Vu holds a deep affection for Philadelphia, which she proudly calls home. Outside of work, she finds joy in various hobbies including traveling, culinary arts, yoga, hiking, and embarking on culinary adventures at Philadelphia’s diverse array of restaurants with her husband.

It was too fast of an appointment. Like 5 min long. I didn’t feel confident that she really checked my whole body for moles since she went so quickly. I also felt rushed. I know they are busy but I was hoping for someone that seemed like they were in less of a rush to leave the room.

The staff was super friendly. The doctor didn’t listen to me and the issue at hand. I kept repeating myself and she kept saying I needed to stop picking when I don’t pick anymore it was only this non healing skin issue. She suggested at the end another natural remedy to take to stop skin picking. Which again was not an issue. Area/cysts keeps getting inflamed and painful. Making and appointment with another dr and her tone/bed side manner was not great or comfortable. The nurse before doctor came in was super kind and wished she was the doctor.
