Everyone at the office was very helpful and friendly. The nurse that took my initial information seem to be very knowledgeable and was very helpful. Doctor Wente had an excellent bedside manner and explained everything thoroughly to me that was going on. I really appreciated it. I especially like that they could take the x-rays right away while I was in the office and look at them there. I didn't have to wait for any results which is very comforting.

Dr. Todd M Wente is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist. His primary expertise lies in the treatment of sports-related conditions affecting the shoulder, hip and knee. He also treats a variety of general orthopaedic conditions, including knee replacement and fracture management.
Dr. Wente graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University where he helped lead the basketball team to a NCAA Division III Final Four appearance in 2001. He subsequently received his medical doctorate from Southern Illinois University and orthopaedic residency at the University of Arkansas. Focusing on his love for sports he went on to complete fellowship training at the Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute/University of Missouri where he served as assistant team physician for the Kansas City Chiefs and cared for numerous other professional and collegiate athletes.
Special interests include sports-related knee injuries where he continues to be active in clinical research with publications on topics including the anterior cruciate ligament and posterior cruciate ligament, among others.
Dr. Wente has a deep appreciation for the role that sports play in his own life and the lives of others. He continues to lead an active lifestyle through running, skiing, and physical fitness. He also enjoys golf and fishing and co-founded JKT Farms, Inc, a startup sustainable hardwood company.
