She is great. Staff gives great service. The only thing is that the office is small and I had to wait more time because they didn’t have a room available for me. I think they only have three rooms or two. I got interviewed in a room and I went back to the waiting room until they had a room available for me. On the other hand, doctor Treloar takes all the time to explain everything and you don’t feel she is in a rush at all like some other doctors do.
Visits with Dr. Treloar are excellent! She is very knowledgeable and I always learn something. Her staff is friendly and helpful too.
Dr Treloar was very helpful and listened to all my questions. Also, the front office staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant environment.
I liked her more holistic approach because when I went to other dermatologists, they mostly felt the need to give me medicine and then leave. However, with Dr. Treloar she had reasoning for lifestyle/diet changes that would help to make my skin clear again.
She is wonderful! Her staff is wonderful!
Dr. Trelor is smart, thorough and personable. She educates while she treats you. I highly recommend her.
Came in for acne and strech marchs. As i was going to show her my problem areas Doc interrupted me and said shed look at them during my acne follow up in two months (only advice she gave was to take vitamins and change my diet). Was in the office witn me 15 mins tops. Took the morning off of work for nothing.
ALWAYS FIRST CLASS! friendly and helpful the whole staff!
Dr. Treloar is really something else! The whole office is super friendly and always make conversation with me when I arrive for my appointment. Barbara is a doll and the medical assistants are thorough and friendly. I came to Doctor Treloar for severe scalp itchiness which turned out to be scalp dermatitis. Using the advice she gave (a nutrition change and prescribed medication) within 3 months the scalp dermatitis has significantly improved. I came back to her for my acne, after having successful results with my scalp issues. We talked about eating, exercise and stress-relieving techniques to help my acne prone skin. Everytime, I speak to her I feel like she listens, and offers good advice for next steps. I am now in the process of starting a paleo diet and some other lifestyle changes to clean up my skin (and overall health). They even have a list of integrative health primary care doctors in the area. Thank you to this office for all your help!
I dont understand the negative reviews. Dr Treloar is the best dermatologist i have ever had. She spends more time with me than any other dermatologist. She hires assistants to collect the data and type up the note so she can focus on my skin and interacting with me. Now she even gives me a computer generated copy of her recommendations. She thinks carefully about my skin problems and helps me avoid products that contain chemicals toxic to my skin.
I brought my son to Dr. Treloar to treat a small skin disorder on his thumb but my primary concern was the acne on his forehead and back. They refused to treat both in one session
I thought it was great! I felt very listened to, not rushed at all, and I received thoughtful, helpful responses to my questions.
I had scheduled this appointment for my teenage son for quite a while, I even read Dr. Treloar's book prior to the appointment so that I could be well informed about her treatments. I was so surprised when finally meeting her how rude and insensitive she was to my sons condition and feelings. My son is autistic and doesn't have the social skills to navigate many of her questions and recommendations that is why I was there to bridge the gap. She was out and out rude to me if I asked for clarification on something she was explaining, her attitude upset my son very much. I also asked her some simple questions about specific topics that may be of help in her book and she snapped back at me explaining that that book was seriously out of date and I shouldn't really take any advise from it? Her practice suggests that she has a holistic approach, that is why I went to her, however her treatment plan was similar to every other dermatologist unfortunately which was Retin-A is what she prescribed, which was disappointing to say the least when you are seeking a more non abrasive natural remedy. She didn't really care what are treatment concerns were, I don't I think she even heard us. It's really a shame, as we were really looking forward to being treated by her.
Valori Treloar is a wonderful doctor, I received great care and very personalized attention. Highly recommend. Great office and staff as well!
Great dermatologist that looks at the whole picture and not just the topical triggers. Excellent bedside manners and professionalism and takes time to understand the issues.
Dr was running late, but I had to wait 1hr and 15 min for an apt with her - with no explanation. She is very nice, but stressed the "food link" to my dermatology issues, and suggested I keep a journal of possible food triggers. I was looking for a "quick fix" like a cream for my beginning rosacea, but perhaps this longer term approach might work...will see.
Excellent knowledge of integrative approach to dermatology
I was a few minutes late to my appointment and thought that I would have to wait a while to be seen, and my time with Dr. Treloar would be cut short. I was pleasantly surprised when this was not the case. Dr. Treloar asked thorough questions regarding my medical history, and really took her time with me. She made some suggestions, and answered all questions I had. Although She didn't say everything I wanted to hear, I appreciate her frankness and holistic approach towards my treatment and a healthier me. I'll be a returning patient of hers.
very happily surprised , she was great , very good manner and gave all the options , she talked slowly and I felt very comfortable . would recommend her to anyone , very kind too
very professional and very knowledgeable
Liked her a lot very personable and professional
Dr. Treloar and her staff are very professional and kind.
I will not make a follow up appt. I found some of Dr. Treloar's comments to be a little demeaning and found that it was a waste of a co-pay. When asked about my prior tanning booth experience I indicated that I did in fact tan in my younger days ( a lot). Her response was due to my poor choices I should get a yearly checkup which I already do. I realize my choices in my late teens were poor but when you are that age are you really making the smartest choices? Back then they also did not know the long term effects to tanning booths. I am close to 40 now and make extremely smart choices about my skin and diet. I also showed her pictures of my face inflamed but she responded that they were not helpful. I thought that since she had a holistic approach it would be more helpful but it turned out not to be. The receptionist and nurse were extremely nice and helpful but other than that I would never return.
Thorough, but brief session. Took a very detailed history of my medical info and offered some very helpful suggestions for dealing with my skin issues. did not leave much time for questions, but assured me I could contact the office by phone/email with questions.
Dr. Treloar seems really knowledgable, but my appointment felt very rushed. Because of this, I felt uncomfortable asking follow up questions about various concerns I shared. About 2 minutes into my appointment, she left the exam room to take a phone call (which was totally fine in my book), but when she returned another woman in scrubs followed her in and observed the rest of my exam. This observer was never introduced, nor did the doctor address this observation at all (certainly didn't ask me if I felt comfortable with it). I was asking the doctor to check my moles, and I was naked in front of a complete stranger who we just pretended wasn't in the room. It was a very unsettling experience. I hope this is not common, and that other patients are treated with the respect and individuality that they deserve.
This was my first visit, and I was seen on-time by terrific professionals adept at listening and examination. I love that Dr. Treloar is skilled with traditional, functional and alternative medicine!
Pleasant and professional staff. Appointment was on time.
Most thorough look at skin health of any dermatologist I have been to!
Condescending and rude. Waste of time and money to be treated this way. Acted as if my concerns and issues weren't serious. I've read other horrible reviews saying the same but mostly from other sites
Great! Really takes her time with a patient. Never felt rushed. Let me go and wash my face in the middle of our visit and even then I didn't feel rushed after. The receptionist was so helpful and sweet. Really enjoyed my visit and felt like I left much more informed.
Dr. Treloar is really knowledgable and had some great non-chemical ways to help with my acne. Highly recommend her!
Dr. Treloar was competent, friendly, and made me very comfortable. Her office is lovely, and all of the people working there who I interacted with were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Dr. Treloar to my family and friends!
Very professional, knowledgable, comprehensive. Excellent.
I went to Dr. Treloar many years ago as a teenager. She did a very thorough skin check then and even took photos of a mole on my scalp that my mom was concerned about. This time I went to her for a skin check since there is a family history of melanoma. I indicated in the paperwork I filled out as well as when I spoke to the assistant before the Dr. came in the room that I had chronic health problems that are endocrine related. When the Dr. first walked into the room she immediately mentions that I wouldn't have an issue with my blood pressure and need meds if my waist were smaller. I informed her of my endocrine problems and she just said that might make it more difficult to lose weight. She never apologized or seemed to show any regret for how she first approached me. If she had entered the room and actually read my health history info on the paperwork instead of only seeing the meds I was on, she might have realized what was going on. I certainly didn't expect to be fat shamed essentially by a dermatologist when I literally have a tumor causing the weight gain which she would have realized had she read the papers in front of her. The skin check was not nearly as thorough as it was years ago. I had to bring to her attention some moles I wanted checked. It was a better skin check than other doctors I've been to over the years but that's not really saying a lot honestly. I felt as though it was very possible things could be missed during this skin check. I found the office staff to be very pleasant and the location was convenient as well. I also was surprised that the Dr. mentioned steroid creams as a possibility for some irritation I had on my scalp. I can't take any steroid meds due to my endocrine issues which I said to the Dr. She seemed to think it wouldn't be absorbed much into my system which just isn't the case. I was impressed by her website with the holistic approach mentioned but she didn't have anything holistic to offer to me for the itching that I can recall.
I was very happy with my experience with Dr Trealor and her staff. There was never a long wait time for appointments, and the staff was very pleasant to interact with. I was looking for an integrative, holistic approach and this is exactly what I received. I appreciated Dr Trealor's open-minded, practical approach to coming up with a treatment tailored to my life. Appointments were not rushed and I received thorough answers to questions and a lot of helpful information. One of the best experiences I have had with a doctor.
Great staffs. Explanation was very clear and down to the point.
Dr. Treloar and her team were really wonderful. I was seen quickly and felt like the Dr. was willing to take as much time as was needed with my appointment. I really appreciate her holistic approach. I would note that some of the recommendations required significant investment (multiple supplements, very specific changes in diet) but I very much appreciate and respect her practice, not your typical 'throw something at a symptom' approach that I have experienced with some other dermatologists.
The whole staff was so pleasant and totally went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable.
She was very nice, and very thorough! I felt like she really paid attention to my concerns!
Complete psycho. Made me feel every uncomfortable.
She was one of the best doctors I have ever met, she was very understanding and caring about my skin condition, and it felt like there was someone who was finally able to understand what I was going through and knew what to do.
Dr Treloar has been my dermatologist for about ten years for routine skin checks and a few problems. She is excellent and I would highly recommend her.Her staff is very supportive and friendly and ZocDoc is a wonderful convenience.
I think it went well. She's very nice and very professional. However a bit too much nutritional diet reccommendations. I only went for an annual body exam and that went fine but didn't need the diet info.
So helpful! I am looking forward to making the changes that she suggested.
Dr. Trealor has been my dermatologist for probably at least 10yrs. Always very professional and thorough in her exams and takes time to talk and explain whatever questions I have or anything that comes during the exam. Highly recommend her.
Came in for an annual mole check. I thought she was competent and thorough. She really took her time checking, yet made me feel very comfortable through a process that could have been quite uncomfortable if it was the wrong doctor. As a side note, she was personable and accommodating. I was late because I underestimated the formidable bike ride, and her office staff were understanding about it. She even looked up an alternate bike route for my return trip that went along the Charles river. Very sweet.
When zodo. Sends the text message they should have the street address and tel number of the office in the text. Otherwise it is an excellent service.
Efficient and professional
Very friendly and informative!
I felt that she didn't get to know anything about my personal background with skin issues, and didn't take much time to get to know me. I would have appreciated this, especially as a new patient, as it is always helpful to just chat and ask for advice on any new skin-related products. She seemed to be in a rush and didn't even introduce herself, she just started the exam.
She spent a good deal of time. She listens well. She has strong opinions about integrative health, including diet, exercise, non-pharmaceutical approaches, but she remains a mainstream allopathic physician. I like the balance.
Seems like she was trying to rush me out. Did not feel very welcome
Really nice and knowledgeable staff and doctor.
Personable, honest and very informative. Quick visit but still thorough.
She is very rushed. He office manager was out so they had to re-do my paperwork even though I submitted online. Doctor spent the entire time writing historical info and about 5 minutes looking at condition and telling me what to do. I had a lot of questions as the Doctor rushed off to see another patient. Luckily, the assistant was very friendly and answered some of my questions. She was much more helpful than Dr. T
Dr Treloar was very knowledgeable and easy to speak with. I felt very comfortable with her. The staff (Barbara and Gail) were also very pleasant!
I really disliked Dr. Treloar and her team. When I was having a minor procedure done, I looked up what I should do to prepare. The office told me nothing, and when I asked about what I had found online they had to put me on hold to find out the answer. They were just unprofessional and did not seem like they knew what they were doing.
I have been seeing Dr. Treloar for 7 years and have always found her to be an excellent and caring doctor. I feel very comfortable with her and confident that she will provide excellent dermatological care. Her staff is also very kind, friendly and professional.
She was very thorough- more so than any doctor I have ever come into contact with. Will definitely recommend and continue to see
Very astute about my skin issues. Helped me right away, suggested doing routine exam at next visit so she could concentrate on my immediate need. Suggested wholistic approach using change in diet, and has business card of recommended nutrition specialist. I was relieved and impressed.
Very informative and efficient
I was late for my appointment and so my wait had more to do with that. Dr. Treloar was highly professional, thorough and easy to talk to about my questions. Dr. Treloar spent enough time with me to feel she knew me and her exam was amazingly complete.
Excellent excellent experience. First, the office staff are very friendly and helpful. An extremely thorough evaluation was taken by the nurse. Dr. Treloar was business like but very very knowledgeable and sharp. I really felt she wanted to get to the root of my problem and looked at all angles. She took notes, asked questions and showed her concern. One of the best doctor experiences I have had in a very very long time.
Refreshing! A doctor who took time to go over my questions and issues, was knowledgable about what some underlying issues could be and how to address them, and I left happier and clearer about my health! Isn't that what a doctor appointment should be?
The office was well staffed, friendly, and prompt. Dr. Veloar explained issues to me and I did not feel rushed when asking questions. I would recommend Dr. Veloar.
She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. I would highly recommend her.
Excellent visit, she puts you right at ease and comes to a a quick solution to any issues brought up.
Dr. Treloar and staff were nice and welcoming. However, Dr. T's style is not something that suited my needs. She is into "lifestyle" approaches (giving me vitamins in a Wholefoods paper bag) rather than prescribing medicine, which is helpful sometimes but was not very effective for me.
Very friendly and nice!
I am always skeptical at the doctors office, because so many clinicians claim to be integrative or holistic - but barely scratch the surface. Dr. treloar was not only knowledgable, and approachable, but was truly integrative in her approach. All I can say is that it's definitely worth my hour plus ride to see her.
I really liked her bedside manner.
Excellent job! Was very thorough about explaining everything and all medications, much better than any other dermatologist I've ever been to, where they look, write a Rx, and send you out the door.
My visit with Dr. Treloar was very pleasant. Everyone was so friendly, and made me feel comfortable. I would see her again and recommend her to other patients looking for an awesome dermatologist.
I have been in many dermatologists due to different skin conditions and I really liked Dr. Valori. I thought she was great with the medical concerns and her recomendations did not felt like she was trying to sell you a line of products like many dermatologist do these days. I only have been there for the first time but I feel comfortable in recommending her.
She was very warm, respectful, and really listened to all of my concerns, and gave me great advice/solutions. I would recommend her to others.
Really impressed! This was the better doctor's visit in 20 years. Dr. Treloar really takes the time to explain things and answer questions. I would recommend her to anyone I know. Her staff was warm and hospitable as well.
Love! Very personable, understanding and actually listens to you!!!
This office had the most professional and personable staff i have ever encountered. Right from the minute you walk in, you feel relieved that they are truly there to help. Dr Treloar took the time to not only diagnose my problem, but also educated me on necessary lifestyle changes, and explained in depth each medication i was prescribed and why i needed it. Her Medical assistant interviewed me and took notice of every concern i had. She accurately passed them to the doctor for my visit and nothing was overlooked. It's nice to deal with professionals and this office is full of them! Sincerely William Johnson, New patient
The visit was great. Dr. Trelaor took the time to explain everything and made me feel comfortable.
Very thorough, very nice. Very comfortable office and the office staff was very professional and polite.
Great doctor, very personable, knowledgable and thorough.
Dr. Treloar was very professional and knowledgeable. Upon looking at my condition, she knew right away what it was and proceeded to offer treatments for it. She also took the time to explain to me my condition and answered any questions I had. The only downside of my experience is that I had to wait 30+ minutes past my appointment time to see her.
She's good. Though on a rush and doesn't really listen to me! All what mattered was jumping into the next patient!!!!
