I met with Dr. Treloar for an initial consult for a few different issues. Although we were only able to focus on a few of them, her treatment plan helped with everything across the board. I really appreciate that her approachis based more on lifestyle changes and not on unnecessary medication. She was very thorough in talking through my treatment plan as well as the follow-up. Wait time was quick and everyone in the office is incredibly nice.

Dr. Treloar was very friendly and had good beside manner. She spent a long time explaining possible treatment options. However, I felt she jumped a little too quickly to diagnosis without thoroughly exploring the symptoms and possibilities regarding my concerns.

My experience with Dr. Treloar and her assistants was great! Her bedside manner was excellent and took her time going through a list of integrative techniques to improve my skin. She prescribed Retin-A and gave my other suggestions in termsof supplements and nutrition that were well suited to my needs. I will be back in 2 months for a follow up!

She is great. Staff gives great service. The only thing is that the office is small and I had to wait more time because they didn’t have a room available for me. I think they only have three rooms or two.I got interviewed in a room and I went back to the waiting room until they had a room available for me. On the other hand, doctor Treloar takes all the time to explain everything and you don’t feel she is in a rush at all like some other doctors do.

I liked her more holistic approach because when I went to other dermatologists, they mostly felt the need to give me medicine and then leave. However, with Dr. Treloar she had reasoning for lifestyle/diet changes that would help to make my skin clear again.

Dr. Treloar is really something else! The whole office is super friendly and always make conversation with me when I arrive for my appointment. Barbara is a doll and the medical assistants are thorough and friendly. I came to Doctor Treloarfor severe scalp itchiness which turned out to be scalp dermatitis. Using the advice she gave (a nutrition change and prescribed medication) within 3 months the scalp dermatitis has significantly improved. I came back to her for my acne, after having successful results with my scalp issues. We talked about eating, exercise and stress-relieving techniques to help my acne prone skin. Everytime, I speak to her I feel like she listens, and offers good advice for next steps. I am now in the process of starting a paleo diet and some other lifestyle changes to clean up my skin (and overall health). They even have a list of integrative health primary care doctors in the area. Thank you to this office for all your help!

I dont understand the negative reviews. Dr Treloar is the best dermatologist i have ever had. She spends more time with me than any other dermatologist. She hires assistants to collect the data and type up the note so she canfocus on my skin and interacting with me. Now she even gives me a computer generated copy of her recommendations. She thinks carefully about my skin problems and helps me avoid products that contain chemicals toxic to my skin.

I had scheduled this appointment for my teenage son for quite a while, I even read Dr. Treloar's book prior to the appointment so that I could be well informed about her treatments. I was so surprised when finally meeting herhow rude and insensitive she was to my sons condition and feelings. My son is autistic and doesn't have the social skills to navigate many of her questions and recommendations that is why I was there to bridge the gap. She was out and out rude to me if I asked for clarification on something she was explaining, her attitude upset my son very much. I also asked her some simple questions about specific topics that may be of help in her book and she snapped back at me explaining that that book was seriously out of date and I shouldn't really take any advise from it? Her practice suggests that she has a holistic approach, that is why I went to her, however her treatment plan was similar to every other dermatologist unfortunately which was Retin-A is what she prescribed, which was disappointing to say the least when you are seeking a more non abrasive natural remedy. She didn't really care what are treatment concerns were, I don't I think she even heard us. It's really a shame, as we were really looking forward to being treated by her.

Dr was running late, but I had to wait 1hr and 15 min for an apt with her - with no explanation. She is very nice, but stressed the "food link" to my dermatology issues, and suggested I keep a journalof possible food triggers. I was looking for a "quick fix" like a cream for my beginning rosacea, but perhaps this longer term approach might work...will see.

I was a few minutes late to my appointment and thought that I would have to wait a while to be seen, and my time with Dr. Treloar would be cut short. I was pleasantly surprised when this was not thecase. Dr. Treloar asked thorough questions regarding my medical history, and really took her time with me. She made some suggestions, and answered all questions I had. Although She didn't say everything I wanted to hear, I appreciate her frankness and holistic approach towards my treatment and a healthier me. I'll be a returning patient of hers.

Dr. Treloar and her team were really wonderful. I was seen quickly and felt like the Dr. was willing to take as much time as was needed with my appointment. I really appreciate her holistic approach. I would note that someof the recommendations required significant investment (multiple supplements, very specific changes in diet) but I very much appreciate and respect her practice, not your typical 'throw something at a symptom' approach that I have experienced with some other dermatologists.

I was very happy with my experience with Dr Trealor and her staff. There was never a long wait time for appointments, and the staff was very pleasant to interact with. I was looking for an integrative, holistic approach and thisis exactly what I received. I appreciated Dr Trealor's open-minded, practical approach to coming up with a treatment tailored to my life. Appointments were not rushed and I received thorough answers to questions and a lot of helpful information. One of the best experiences I have had with a doctor.

I will not make a follow up appt. I found some of Dr. Treloar's comments to be a little demeaning and found that it was a waste of a co-pay. When asked about my prior tanning booth experience I indicated thatI did in fact tan in my younger days ( a lot). Her response was due to my poor choices I should get a yearly checkup which I already do. I realize my choices in my late teens were poor but when you are that age are you really making the smartest choices? Back then they also did not know the long term effects to tanning booths. I am close to 40 now and make extremely smart choices about my skin and diet. I also showed her pictures of my face inflamed but she responded that they were not helpful. I thought that since she had a holistic approach it would be more helpful but it turned out not to be. The receptionist and nurse were extremely nice and helpful but other than that I would never return.

Dr. Treloar seems really knowledgable, but my appointment felt very rushed. Because of this, I felt uncomfortable asking follow up questions about various concerns I shared. About 2 minutes into my appointment, she left the exam room to takea phone call (which was totally fine in my book), but when she returned another woman in scrubs followed her in and observed the rest of my exam. This observer was never introduced, nor did the doctor address this observation at all (certainly didn't ask me if I felt comfortable with it). I was asking the doctor to check my moles, and I was naked in front of a complete stranger who we just pretended wasn't in the room. It was a very unsettling experience. I hope this is not common, and that other patients are treated with the respect and individuality that they deserve.

I went to Dr. Treloar many years ago as a teenager. She did a very thorough skin check then and even took photos of a mole on my scalp that my mom was concerned about. This time I went to herfor a skin check since there is a family history of melanoma. I indicated in the paperwork I filled out as well as when I spoke to the assistant before the Dr. came in the room that I had chronic health problems that are endocrine related. When the Dr. first walked into the room she immediately mentions that I wouldn't have an issue with my blood pressure and need meds if my waist were smaller. I informed her of my endocrine problems and she just said that might make it more difficult to lose weight. She never apologized or seemed to show any regret for how she first approached me. If she had entered the room and actually read my health history info on the paperwork instead of only seeing the meds I was on, she might have realized what was going on. I certainly didn't expect to be fat shamed essentially by a dermatologist when I literally have a tumor causing the weight gain which she would have realized had she read the papers in front of her. The skin check was not nearly as thorough as it was years ago. I had to bring to her attention some moles I wanted checked. It was a better skin check than other doctors I've been to over the years but that's not really saying a lot honestly. I felt as though it was very possible things could be missed during this skin check. I found the office staff to be very pleasant and the location was convenient as well. I also was surprised that the Dr. mentioned steroid creams as a possibility for some irritation I had on my scalp. I can't take any steroid meds due to my endocrine issues which I said to the Dr. She seemed to think it wouldn't be absorbed much into my system which just isn't the case. I was impressed by her website with the holistic approach mentioned but she didn't have anything holistic to offer to me for the itching that I can recall.
