Dr. Diaz takes an individualized and detailed approach to your care. Her areas of expertise include treatment of rotator cuff disease, arthritis, fractures, and athletic injuries. She specializes in shoulder, elbow, and wrist arthroscopy, minimally invasive carpal tunnel surgery, joint replacement or reconstruction, and fracture repair.
Your office visit will include a detailed assessment of your symptoms and any associated functional limitations, a discussion of your goals and activity demands, a thorough examination, and possibly x-rays on site. Dr. Diaz may also recommend more advanced studies such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, or electrodiagnostic testing.
Dr. Diaz adheres to a philosophy of shared decision making with her patients, and will discuss all treatment options available, both nonoperative and surgical. She is on the cutting edge of surgical techniques and the latest in evidence-based upper extremity care. This was my first time seeing Dr. Diaz. She took the time to discuss the details of the medical issue for which I went to see her, the treatment options, and then recommended that I pursue no treatment at the present time. So she made the recommendation that was truly best for me and not for her practice. I really appreciated that she did that. We also carried on some small talk, which allowed her to get to know me more as an individual. I highly recommend Dr. Diaz.
