Dr. LuAnne Codella is a thorough, attentive physician who takes a functional and holistic approach to evaluation and treatment, caring for patients in Manhattan and surrounding areas. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality of medical care and sees patients from 16 years of age onward. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Codella earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Cambridge Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Additionally, she studied acupuncture at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences and is a New York State Certified Acupuncturist. She is also a New York State Marijuana Prescriber, certified through the New York State Compassionate Care Program.
Patients visiting for acupuncture receive a full Chinese Medicine evaluation designed to address acute and chronic problems. Functional Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Holistic Health Care evaluations and treatments are also offered, focusing on locating and treating the root cause of symptoms. Dr. Codella refers patients to specialist care when needed, including cardiovascular, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, orthopedics, and other specialties.

It's been a long time since I had a person whom I would call "my doctor", but I have found this person In Dr. Codella. She immediately puts one at ease, and seeks to see the whole patient. I am VERY disappointed in this Doctor and my experience with ZocDoc. The whole point of using this service is for the convenience and to find great doctors by weeding out the bad ones! I sought out Dr. Codella because she had good reviews about her being warm and caring. I wanted to avoid any kind of rude or negligent doctors and have an overall good experience at a doctor's visit. Her in person demeanor was so gruff and dismissive. It was a cold natured experience and I will definitely be in search for a new doctor. I hope it was just me catching her on a bad day and she doesn't continue to treat others the way I was treated. You are a doctor and need to be kind and compassionate with all patients and their family!
