Zocdoc said they accepted my insurance, but they couldn't find it in the system when I went there. I had to pay out-of-pocket.

Just a regular standard visit and she gave me new information on another way to treat my eye disorder. She was very helpful

The visit was good, but it has been over three weeks and I have jet to receive a call for my glasses

Went for contacts, it was a thorough and relaxing appointment. They’re neither expensive nor pushy.

Such a great experience! She was quick, efficient, and the staff were all super friendly.

Very professional and thorough. And the staff was so nice.

The visit with the doctor itself was quick and easy and she has a very pleasant demeanor. The eye shop she works out of was absolute chaos however. In fairness my appt was after work at 5:15 (and despite being early I waited 45 minutes to see the Doc), but every surface was covered in unfiled paperwork, unfinished prescription orders, and the staff were simultaneously too busy to assist me while having the time to sit on their phones ¯\_(?)_/¯ I’d maybe go again in a pinch after work but I wouldn’t go out of my way to frequent it

Saw me as soon as I walked through the door. Admins walked me through my insurance with great detail. Didn’t push products on me and were helpful with my inquiries. Great overall experience

Do not go to this doctor. I was physically abused by one of her employees. I waited over two hours to get to my turn n she rushed. Spent less than 5 minuets on my eyes. Just don’t waste your time.

Office was busy and seemed very dirty. My overall eye exam took less than 2 minutes, it was not thorough. Three days later, I got pink eye, which I suspect is from the lack of cleanliness in the office.
This was my first and last visit. I'm disappointed with the level of care and attention I received by Dr. Troese. I wasn't asked any questions about my vision other than what my old brand of contacts were and if I knew the old prescription. Other doctors have always asked if I have trouble reading, focusing, dryness, headaches, seeing at night etc. She gave me a pair of contacts made for people with astigmatism with no instruction on how to use them or if I even wanted to switch to those kind of contacts (I don't, but she didn't bother to ask!) I asked for a copy of my medical record and all I got was my prescription scribbled on a piece of paper with no indication of which eye was which. I'm very unhappy with how my appointment went and I'll never return.

I got what I needed but I felt sort of rushed even though I waited a while. I didn't feel as valued but she did answer my question. She seemed knowledgeable. I would prefer a better patient experience.

First off, my appointment was rescheduled by the staff the day I made the appointment. Then when I got there they told me that I did not have an appointment. So it was almost pointless for me to try and schedule because they had no idea I was scheduled even though I had confirmation from Zocdoc and spoke with the staff to reschedule. That was unpleasant. That being said they got me in the to see the doctor about a half hour after my scheduled time and the staff and doctor were both friendly and helpful.
Dr Troese was very friendly! She made me feel very comfortable and gave me a lot of recommendations for eye care! I love that I wasn't forced into buying any glasses or anything and the eye exam was quick!

Well to start I didn't get seen by the doctor I had the appointment set with. It was another doctor altogether. My appointment was set for 1:15pm and I did not get see until around 2:00pm even though I got there early. On the other hand the doctor I did end up seeing was quick, professional and pleasant to visit with. The staff and office were also very nice. So basically the service was great the wait time not so much.

Very helpful staff, long wait time.
I was disappointed to find out all the information I submitted in advance online was not received by the office and I needed to do it all over again in the office on paper!
The 13th Street location was closed for renovations today. The manager said he thought they had called everyone but when I explained i booked through zocdoc he realized he had forgotten about zocdoc. So he referred me to the city hall location. The manager there didn't know the zoc doc log in and had to call someone. Everyone was very pleasant but it's clear they are not using the zocdoc booking slots appropriately. It would be nice if they knew to aspect you so they could see you on time. Essentially they just hope to get you in the door and see you as they can.

No frills at the 1325 location, as the building could use a few updates, but I was in and out in about 20 minutes flat. So I'lll take it.
Very thorough. Explained things in detail.

Visit was good and professional, however, the checkout process was unprofessional as they would not give me my contacts prescription until I agree to buy contacts from their store.

Dr. Troese could be a bit more warm, but she was efficient. It was one of the fastest eye appointments I've had while still being thorough. The staff was extremely helpful and the office was clean with a large selection of glasses.
I'm in shock this place is in business! Not even the employees want to be in there. The office is poorly run, the two men at the front desk are complete jerks to everyone, the office is disgusting: has cobwebs, trash and pigeon feathers everywhere, exams are rushed, I could go on forever.
Sweet woman.
The doctor did not say hello or offer any parting words, but essentially just disappeared. She did not explain things about my condition and gave me very vague, unspecific answers when I asked questions about how I should handle my condition. I'm obviously not an eye doctor, but during every prior eye exam I've had, the doctor has asked me to read the letters. Dr. Troese simply asked "can you see those?" and never once asked me to read the letters to her. Again, I'm no expert, but I don't see how saying "yes I can see them" or "no, I can't see them" would result in knowing a specific prescription. Also, when I arrived at the office, I was informed that the visit would not be covered under my insurance plan (I asked them specifically on the phone if it would be, and was told that it would). I asked how much it would be, and decided that I could afford to pay out of pocket. However, when I went to pay, the same woman told me it would actually be double the amount that she told me earlier. When I told her I could not afford to pay this amount, she seemed annoyed. Overall, a really disappointing experience.
AWFUL. Never going back. I had a 1:00 appointment and arrived fifteen minutes early at 12:45. I didn't get called back until 1:50. The whole time I waited it didn't seem like anyone was getting called back at all, everyone was just waiting. That all made sense when, at 1:45, the doctor came walking in the front door! She had not even been in the building the entire hour I waited! And no one at the desk bothered to inform me of that. They just left me to sit and wait, wondering how long I should wait before getting up to ask if I'd be seen sometime today. The doctor's bedside manner left something to be desired. She wrote down my concerns about my vision but did not address them and did the quickest eye exam I've ever had in my life. She didn't even tell me if my prescription would be changing or not, just handed me a set of contact lenses and sent me on my way. I moved here from another state in the past year and needed a new eye doctor but I will not be going back there next year! I had also wanted to inquire about LASIK as my old eye doctor and I had discussed the possibility last year but her manner and disinterest in me left me not wanting to bring it up. Worst eye doctor office I've ever been to.
