Patient reviews for Dr. Michael Fung
Quick and easy. Thanks!
Dr. Fung did a thorough job of examining the complaints for which I went to his office. He had a calming demeanor and explained things well.
Perfect all around. Great staff. Great facility. A+++
Excellent experience! Starting from the reception stuff and Dr’s assistants ... Dr Fung is very friendly and efficient ! Will definitely use this Dr in my future visits
Wonderful ‘bed side’ manner - efficient, knowledgeable
Dr. Fung was professional and thorough. Staff were nice and efficient. Appointment was a little fast, but he answered my questions and I thought the care was excellent.
I just had to go for a follow up after injuring my eye. In and out quickly with a very professional doctor.
Be very careful when making an appointment for this practice! I thought I was going in for a routine eye exam when in reality they billed me for having an eye issue that I’ve never been billed for in the past. I was told that this office does not code for routine checkups after they already did a routine check up for me so now I’m left with a higher bill than expected. Be very careful when making an appointment and only go here if you are having eye problems, not for your annual exam. On a side note, Dr. Fung was great and my issue is with the billing and administration.
Very personal and professional.
The visit went great!
This is partly my fault, but... not having been to an eye doctor that didn't also handle the follow through of getting prescription glasses...I left Dr. Fung's office disappointed. My intention was to get an updated eye test AND send a new frame I recently purchased for lenses. Every office I've been to in the past has been able to do this. In fact, I'm really unsure how an optometry office can exist without this moneymaking hustle. Beyond this omission, which I feel SHOULD have been explained when I walked in, on aetna's site, or on zocdoc - I was left alone in the exam room for my eyes to dilate for well over 25 minutes. Definitely too long.
Michael Fung is excellent . That's my guy.
I had an eye infection about a month ago and was 1st treated by urgent care for antibiotics. My eyes haven’t been cleared up.. Knowingly myself It was hard trying to find a doctor appointment specially you’re a new patient . But thank goodness I was able to find Dr. Fung! He is very nice and very patience and earful . I be looking forward to follow up with him again! Oh the staff was very sweet too!
Very personable. Concise and lo-the-point explanation.
Great experience! He was thorough and made sure I got the appropriate prescription for my eyes. The process was speedy and efficient.
I had never been to an eye doctor before and my visit with Dr. Fung was quick, efficient, and pleasant! I also felt like it was a thorough visit and there wasn't any sense of haste during my examination. I'll absolutely be returning to see Dr. Fung for my annual eye exams moving forward!
Nice guy, very thorough. The front desk workers were great and very helpful as well. Overall, a good first appointment with a new eye doc.
Really nice, helpful, knowledgeable staff.
Very professional, friendly and competent staff.
A highly efficient and still very personal office. I was just there for a regular check up - still - took his time, answered questions, provided great, usable advice.
Super fast and helpful. Definitely recommend.
Very thorough and polite'
I definetely recommend DR. Fung! 5 stars ?? He was very kind and understanding. He provided answers to all my questions although i only visited to refresh my contact lens prescription ( I am a person with high myopia, deattachment problems, considering lasik etc etc...)
Dr. Fung is great! He has a strong sense of humor, is very friendly, and also explains medical stuff to you in a way that makes sense. I would definitely visit him again.
A very knowledgeable doc, with great bedside manner. I have serious health issues and he focused on the problems that may also have an impact on my vision. Overall a great experience
He was amazing and so informative! Highly recommend
Super nice and knowledgeable!
He's vert professional yet very considerate, caring and knowledgeable about his work. Every time I visited him, he assured me everything is going great and kinda reached to that conclusion after thoroughly examining my eyes. He understood my concerns related to my other medicines' probability of affecting my vision. If I didn't move out of Philly, I would have still visited him.
Great staff and thorough doctor. Highly recommend!
Dr. Michael Fung is very knowledgeable and professional! I just had my first appointment with him and will recommend him to my family and friends! He has a welcoming demeanor, has a great/ relatable personality, and is very approachable. I was able to ask questions and confide in him. A++!
Dr Fung was great. But, The office doesnt have an area for you to wait while your eyes are dilating. So your in the main waiting room and it's very bright. I also waited over an hour to see a nurse.
Dr. Fung is very friendly and respectful. He is gentle while attending my wife.
This office is busy but is run very efficiently. I was called in promptly at my scheduled appointment time. The nurse asked me relevant questions and did some pre-check work - all done quickly. Dr. Fung came in immediately after and was personable and answered all my questions.
Dr. Fung is an excellent and a very nice doctor. The staff at the front desk are also very nice and helpful.
Dr Fung was very nice and helpful. I felt very good after I left office because all the question marks in my mind were gone. Girls at front desk was very nice and clear as well. I really appreciate the whole crew for the service.
It was great. Though there is quite another long wait after the one in the waitroom. But overall the trip took around 1 hr 30 minute so it was fast. The best thing about this office is the appointment. I tried to place 2 appointment at other institute and the earliest I got was 3 month away. This one gives me an appointment immediately within 1 day so this was great.
He was informative, professional and nice. The people in his office were professional and friendly.
Dr. Fung was nice and professional. I didn't have to wait very long in the waiting room. However, I did feel a rushed by the nurse who took me back. Overall good experience but it did seem like the Dr. Fung and the nurses were in a bit of rush.
This was an out of network visit and his staff didn't inform me until it was too late.
The doctor was very attentive to my needs and solved my issue. His office staff was very professional and friendly. I'll be going back!
Waiting time was under ten minutes, actually. The entire staff was polite and professional. Dr. Fung was able to treat me professionally and friendly as well. Because this was my first time at this office, I was very unprepared; however, he was able to assist me without that information. He was also able to answer all of my questions. I highly recommend him and I will be coming back.
Great visit, very quick and he spent a good amount of time addressing my concerns.
Easy going & very friendly!
Dr. Fung is the best!
Dr. Fung was very personable and answered all of my questions in a concise and thorough manner. His office is busy and he's clearly juggling a lot of patients at the same time, but I didn't feel like my appointment with him was rushed. As a new patient, he and his staff were thorough in getting my medical history and asking questions to better treat me going forward. I'd definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a quality ophthalmologist in Philadelphia.
Efficient, patient-focused and friendly folks.
He is really professional,
I really love Dr. Fung, I just hate there is always a considerable wait.
examination was thorough & complete, The proceedures and results were fully expailned to me
This is one of those practices that feels like an assembly line. The front desk staff were *very* nice and helpful. But that's where the positivity ends. I was disappointed and found the physician unhelpful and uninterested in being helpful. Go elsewhere if you can find somewhere else.
