Dr. Sabella earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, where he also completed a residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. He moved to San Antonio for a research fellowship in reproductive Biology at UTHSCSA. He moved to Brooklyn, New York for an internship and then back to San Antonio to complete a second residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the UTHSCSA, where he remained as a faculty member teaching residents in obstetrics and gynecology for 11 years. Dr. Sabella is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology and is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists TMA and BCMS. Dr. Sabella is a pioneer in robotic surgery for multiple female pelvic surgeries. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
