A very professional, "let's take care of your concerns" demeanor. I was interviewed by the nurse who briefed the Dr. who then came in and addressed my concerns, examined me and conducted the biopsies right away. The entire appointment was over in 30 minutes; Dr. Nguyen gets it done! Answered all my questions and I was on my way. I've had numerous dermatology appointments within the military healthcare system, but this appointment with Dr. Nguyen's office was by far the best in terms of waiting time, examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Vu Nguyen is a Board-certified dermatologist and dermato-pathologist. Dr. Nguyen completed medical school, internship, dermatology residency, and a dermato-pathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. His undergraduate studies was at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, under full scholarship, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He was also Valedictorian of his high school in Kenner, Louisiana.
Dr. Nguyen specializes in skin cancers, medical and surgical dermatology, and dermatopathology. His honors include the World Congress Educational Fund Task Force Scholarship and the Albert Kligman Fellowship. He has provided lectureships at national and international meetings, and authored multiple articles pertaining to skin basic science and disease.
Dr. Nguyen practiced dermatology and dermatopathology at Scripps Clinic and then Mission Internal Medical Group/Mission Hospital prior to starting his own dermatology and dermatopathology practice at Carlsbad and Vista Dermatology.
