Dr. Larsen is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at OHSU and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). He was a member of the editorial board for the Journal of the AAD and was Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Contact Dermatitis. He was also President of the Pacific Northwest Dermatological Society and of the Oregon Dermatology Society.
In February of 2009, Dr. Larsen was one of eight doctors named as an honorary member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Larsen received this reward for his lifetime dedication and distinguished service to the academy and its mission.
Dr. Larsen has published extensively in books and journals throughout his career. He co-authored Color Text of Contact Dermatitis, by Larsen, Adams, and Maibach, and contributed a chapter to the book, Fragrances Beneficial and Adverse Effects, edited by Frosch, Johansen, and White.
