Dr. Wensong Li is fellowship-trained and double board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management, with extended expertise in treating back pain and arthritis pain.
After completing his surgery and anesthesiology residency at North Shore University Hospital and Maimonides Medical Center in NY, Dr. Li was fortunate to complete a pain management fellowship at New York University Medical Center in NYC, where he was trained under one of the world’s most prominent specialists in pain management, Dr. Michel Dubois.
During the past 10 years, Dr. Li has dedicated his practice to the treatment of pain. With 9 years of strong surgical practice background, he has transformed his pain management service into a premiere minimally invasive pain management practice with an emphasis on non-surgical approaches to acute and chronic pain with the ultimate goal of resuming patients function so that they can return to a normal enjoyable lifestyle. Dr. Li continues to utilize the latest, most cutting edge spinal interventions including percutaneous disc decompression, radiofrequency neurolysis, kyphoplasty and spinal cord stimulator.
Dr. Li is well known for achieving dramatic improvement in pain without major surgery in Flushing area. Dr. Li prides himself on being a compassionate, caring physician with excellent delivery of interventional pain management. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and Fellow of the North American Neuromodulation Association (NANA). It was a long wait just to get in the examination room and even longer for the cortizone shot. During the examination the doctor seemed aloof and condescending when asked him questions. He seemed only interested in giving you the shot.

They had no idea who I was and had no appointment for me when I called to confirm. Then to make matters worse my 11am became a 3pm.
This is the second doctor in a 2 week span that didn't have my appointment any knowledge of what I was talking about when mentioning ZOCDOC. So makes me wonder all the information I filled out that allegedly I didn't have to do again were does that go? Who I has all my personal medical information? Because 2 doctors stated to me straight out they had NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT.
When it happened with one doctor I chalked it up as a fluke, so I didn't mention it but 2 doctors.

He was uncaring and uptight. He was judgmental. He was more concerned with my personal life than my pain. Such as how was I taking care of myself, who lives with me, and why I wasn't working. He made me uncomfortable. I would never recommend him to anyone. He seemed to be racist. I hate to say that about anyone. But that's how I feel. Well the neurontin he prescribed I was allergic to. I was covered in hives. Doing fine now found me good Doctor who listens and cares.
