There was over a two hour wait to see the doctor. None of the staff in the office let any of the patients know that there was a delay and once you checked in, the office staff ignored you. The doctor is great but the office staff is awful.

Dr. Matarese earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1983 after his undergraduate education at Columbia University. He completed a general surgery internship at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. He has completed his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center. He is fellowship trained in total joint arthroplasty and limb lengthening at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New York, NY.
Dr. Matarese has published several articles in peer-reviewed publications, including Surgical Rounds for Orthopedics, Journal of Arthroplasty, Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, and NJOS/NYSSOS.

It took the staff almost 20 minutes to give me my initial paperwork and after a hour of waiting I left. I only recommend this doctor if you enjoy waiting a minimum hour to get into a room. The front desk agent told me they weren't busy which leads me to further believe there's at least 1 1/2 wait for each appointment

the wait is always too long. he does not thoroughly explain things. he is too rushy. perhaps he should not have sooo many appts. the waiting room never has less than 15 people. but i suppose he serves his purpose.

I never felt that Dr. Matarese was in a rush in the examining room to leave and go to the next patient. He really listens to what was on my mind and gave me an answer to every question. Anytime I had an appointment Dr. Matarese always paid attention to what my problem was and explained his diagnosis of the condition.
