She was wonderful. With all the health issues going on right now I was pleased to see that although the office was exceptionally busy, the appointment was very relaxed. I was, she was not rushed at all. Took care of my check up and we were able to talk about it with out an issue.

After years as an OB/GYN at a large and busy group, Dr. Markidan joined Antheia in 2019, to focus on providing exceptional gynecological and women’s health care to patients in a comfortable and convenient boutique private practice environment.
Dr. Markidan’s approach to patient care is grounded in the belief that the best care requires a strong relationship between the physician and the patient, based on trust, good communication, and shared decision making. She says: “Because so much of what we do relates to our patient’s quality of life, the gynecologist has to strive to understand her patient beyond the medical symptoms, and have the empathy to appreciate the distinctive struggles, insecurities, needs, and goals that are unique to each individual. What is appropriate for one woman, may not at all be for another.”
Dr. Markidan earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine, in Washington D.C., where she was the recipient of Rachel Morris Dominick Award: “Presented annually to a member of the graduating class who has demonstrated outstanding ability in the field of obstetrics and gynecology,” and completed her residency at the Pennsylvania Hospital, currently of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, in Philadelphia.

I can't recommend Dr. Markidan or her office highly enough. From the moment I walked in the door throughout my entire appointment the staff made me feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Markidan was very pleasant, thorough and attentive to all of my questions. I did not feel rushed in any way nor was the wait time to be seen long.

This was easily the best experience I've ever had with an OBGYN practice, which is something I never imagined I'd express. The check-in process was pleasant and simple, the waiting area was nice, the nurse who did my intake was kind, patient, and very professional, and my doctor was phenomenal. I am actually looking forward to my next check-up here, which is not something I've ever thought about any other medical office in my entire life! This is truly a special practice that actually cares for their patients.
