Dr. Appiah has over 15 years of experience treating all diseases of skin, hair and nails, laser dermatology and cosmetic dermatology including botox, fillers, chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Dr. Appiah graduated from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Special Interests: Dr. Appiah’s main focus is providing options for all skin types for all skin problems. Patients with ethnic skin are especially pleased with the innovative treatments she employs in managing skin diseases which have traditionally posed a challenge in their management.

Dr. Appiah was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. She impressed me with her genuine concern for my health. Even though there seemed to be a large number of patients in the waiting room, Dr. Appiah never made me feel like I was being rushed. This was my first visit and I am blessed God made a way for me to connect with this doctor. The young lady who called me in to take my information was likewise personable and attentive.

The waiting area was not COVID safe. The chairs were not spaced out. The doctor was ok. She came in wearing a sweatshirt and I wasn’t sure she was the doctor. She felt my lump and gave me quick options. I didn’t feel that she spent that much time talking to me and it felt rushed. Nice personality though.

Dr Appiah is very professional, addressed my concerns and answered my questions. I have been her patient for quite a number of years and been totally satisfied with her care. Office staff is pleasant and friendly as well as Dr Appiah’s assistant. I receive reminders of my appointments both by phone and email, which I find very helpful.

Not the best experience at this office. Had a five minute appointment and the doctor seemed rushed; did not take time to explain the medications I needed and almost nothing was covered by insurance.

The front office staff was professional, personable, and informative. Dr. Appiah has a pleasant personality. She is efficient and she answers all your questions. I find her very comfortable to talk with about any issues.

The office staff was professional and efficient but I was not satisfied with my experience with this doctor. For a first-time patient with history of melanoma, she took about two minutes for a skin check with no conversation or questions and asked me to schedule a follow up when I had a more detailed question. Only advice was wear “sunscreen and a hat” - true, but pretty basic.

I'm sure she's a good doctor but she did not invite communication from me about my condition. Little to no empathy shown and I was a new patient. Thought she would have had better bedside manner especially for Black female patient.
