About Dr. Abrahem Kazemi
With his fingers on the pulse of today’s dermatology, Dr. Kazemi is transplanting back home from New York City with an enthusiastic energy to deliver modern, safe, and cutting-edge cosmetic and laser treatments to Pinnacle Dermatology. In addition to providing services in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and pediatric dermatology, he will serve as the Director of Cosmetic and Laser Dermatology for Virginia’s Pinnacle Dermatology sites.
Dr. Kazemi attended the University of Virginia and George Mason University for his undergraduate education, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in addition to a Doctor of Medicine degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed a year-long research fellowship in ethnic dermatology with leaders in skin of color. He completed one post-graduate year of internal medicine training at Howard University Hospital, and three post-graduate years of dermatology training at New York Medical College in New York City where he served as the resident cutaneous surgery chief in his senior year. His special interests in dermatology include hair loss, psoriasis, skin cancer, cosmetic injectables, lasers, and skin of color to name a few.
He has published several peer-reviewed manuscripts in high-impact dermatology journals like the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (where his original research adorned the front cover twice), Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Dermatology Online Journal, and Journal of Dermatological Treatment. He frequently presents his research at many national dermatology conferences. He serves as a peer-reviewer for the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology.
Dr. Kazemi is fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish, Persian (Dari and Farsi), and English.

I would highly recommend Dr. Kazemi. I felt that he did a thorough job with my skin check. I was highly anxious prior to my appointment. I left feeling better, reassured and more knowledgeable about my skin.

I waited for nearly an hour and the doctor didn’t see me - I arrived on time, filled out the required paperwork in 5min and waited for 50 min. It came to the point where I just couldn’t wait any longer and had to leave for work. The staff said nothing to me during that time and several people who arrived after me were seen and even paid and left. Even a person whose appointment was after mine, they filled out their paperwork AFTER ME and they were still called back. I’m sorry, but with staff not even letting me know how much longer I need to wait, I’m not going to come back. Don’t recommend unless you have a lot of time. When I left staff even told me to make another appointment the same time again since he’s less busy then - which is obviously not the case.

Went in for my first ever skin check so I was nervous and did not know what to expect but knew I needed to add it to my general preventative care. This was a totally wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was made to feel right at home. Even my husband was very welcome to join me in my visit with the doctor. Dr. Kazemi was super!! He listened carefully to all my concerns, and he explained all of his findings. He did a thorough examination of my skin. He described the mole that I was most concerned about as not being cancerous at all. I highly recommend him and will be happy to see him again!

It was an amazing experience! The staff was extremely professional, the office was clean, and Dr. Kazemi was very thorough, attentive, and knowledgeable. His bedside manner was extraordinary. I’m pretty prude and generally have heightened anxiety with visits to most Doctors’ office; however, I felt completely at ease and very comfortable with this staff. This was my first time at this office and after the first 10 mins of my targeted examine, decided to have the full-body, professional skin exam! I’m very happy I did as I learned a lot from the experience! I highly recommend!
