More about Yvonne Olivo, LMFT
I grew up in a very rural community in Central California where there were many immigrant families and a lot of opportunities to learn about giving back to those less fortunate. That's where the passion for helping others started.
I attended San Jose State University and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, only to learn that I wasn't actually going to be able to hold the title of psychologist. After graduation, I began my work in the behavioral health field working as a behavior specialist with children on the Autism Spectrum. While I enjoyed the behavior work, I knew something was missing and decided to go back to school to be able to work 1:1 with others.
I graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and can happily say that the hard work was absolutely worth it. I love my job as a therapist.
I am now located in Idaho and have a telehealth practice in California. When I am not working as a therapist, I am a wife and dog and cat mom. I enjoy outdoor fun and crafting in my spare time.
