Hello, I’m Aakanksha, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
In our sessions, you’ll find a compassionate and non-judgmental space to explore your feelings and experiences. Together, we will identify your strengths and work through obstacles to build a meaningful and fulfilling life. As a former Division I collegiate tennis athlete and an immigrant, I deeply understand the emotional and psychological challenges that come with identity shifts, whether it’s leaving behind a competitive sport, a role, or a chapter of life. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate these transitions, rediscover their sense of self, and create space for a new, authentic identity to emerge.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, using evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also incorporate trauma-informed care and relapse prevention to support those facing substance use challenges, including problem gambling. Whether you're in the early stages of recognizing an addiction issue or further along in your recovery, I provide a supportive framework to help you rebuild balance and regain control, equipping you with tools for long-term resilience and healing.
