My practice centers on helping my clients achieve an improved quality of life. If you are seeking therapy because something in your life has become unmanageable, we will develop the necessary communication and coping skills to address the issue. Whether your presenting problem is addiction, relationship issues, mental health, or trauma, psychotherapy with me can provide a safe space to focus on behavioral patterns, create self awareness and apply mindfulness. I offer clients the supportive, honest environment where they can explore anxieties and fears. I have experience in treating sexual issues in relationships, sexual abuse, sexual impulsivity and sexual dysfunction. I also have extensive experience in couples therapy and Alanon support.
My approach to therapy is psychodynamic in nature, but tailored to the client's needs. I utilize a combination of strengths perspective, object relations and gestalt therapy, incorporating cognitive behavioral techniques such as (REBT) and (DBT), which lends to Imago therapy for couples and seeking safety work with trauma clients.
My goal is to guide people toward a more insight-oriented, self-aware and empowered view of themselves, promoting positive change and resiliency. I have daytime, evening and weekend hours. I run groups for advanced sober living and women's trauma. I also offer solution-focused, short-term, couples therapy.
Fees:
I do consider sliding scale on a case by case basis. Although I do not directly accept insurance, most insurance companies reimburse individuals for seeing an out of network mental health provider up to 70%. I will help you with any required paperwork so you can obtain the maximum reimbursement your plan allows.
