Alison made me feel very comfortable and safe. I have never been to a therapist before so I was very nervous for the first appointment but she made me feel at ease. Alison is very easy to talk to and really cared about my responses. I am excited to continue with her and I am confident that we can make a lot of progress. It is difficult to say from the first appointment how significant her impact will be but I am confident in saying that she made me feel relaxed, heard and comfortable, which is extremely important in this setting.

As a therapist, I aim to provide a warm, judgment-free, and recovery-oriented space where my clients feel seen, understood, and accepted. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is powerful and know that seeking out therapy and finding the right fit can be intimidating. Therapy should be a collaborative experience tailored to each individual. I am trained in a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP). I employ my knowledge of these empirically supported approaches with flexibility to provide therapy tailored to each individual or family.
I hold an MSEd in Counseling and Mental Health Services and an MPhilEd in Professional Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families/support systems. I specialize in working with youth presenting with a range of emotional or behavioral difficulties, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, challenging behaviors, and comorbid issues. I also provide parenting sessions. I am constantly seeking out further learning in order to provide the best care possible.
