Getting to know Parker Caton

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and a background in Human Development and Family Studies. I have experience in schools and hospitals, which eventually led me to private practice. I’ve worked with grief, chronic illness, life transitions, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and PTSD. I offer individual and couples therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is holistic, centered around your strengths and customized to address your specific needs. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing (SE), to help you build a deeper mind-body connection. Together, we’ll focus on grounding and reconnecting with yourself and your inner wisdom. Our work will move beyond intellectualizing emotions and instead, allow you to fully feel. This allows for true inner alignment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Unlike traditional therapy, I am not a "blank slate" or the all-knowing expert; rather, I bring my authentic self-an imperfect human-into session. I invite my clients to do the same, encouraging a co-created path to growth.
