Hi! My name is Amber, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I am from Austin, Texas and moved to Lubbock to receive my undergraduate degree in communication studies and psychology at Texas Tech University, and then to Fort Worth where I worked for a nonprofit that provided for low income and homeless families. This is where my interest sparked with social work and I received my masters degree from the University of Texas at Arlington with a concentration in mental health and addictions.
I have worked at a behavioral health hospital hospital with adults, geriatrics and adolescents with varying stressors, symptoms, mental illness, substance use, etc. since 2017 doing group therapy, family therapy, individual therapy and case management. I have also worked in private practice since 2020 working to help my clients manage mood disorders, addictive behaviors, substance use, severe depression, anxiety and complicated trauma through individual therapy.
I have a passion for working with clients that want to better understand and cope with their past and create a more peaceful present as they continue to work toward building their future and reaching their identified goals.
