Claudia encourages clients to truly feel their emotions—she means actually feel them. Too often, we ignore our emotions by distracting or numbing ourselves. While it can be uncomfortable to sit with difficult emotions, growth and healing await on the other side. Identifying inner experiences can be incredibly powerful. Claudia works through a holistic and person-centered lens as a clinician. She uses this approach because when we consider mental health within the unique contexts of our identities, cultural backgrounds, and worldviews, we can better care for ourselves and others. This perspective also allows her to be more inclusive of her clients’ individuality while honoring their unique experiences. Claudia values the privilege of providing tools that clients can use on their journeys of personal growth and healing. Turning toward parts of ourselves that have been neglected for so long can be incredibly difficult, but Claudia is here to support clients in doing so. It is an amazing feeling to be part of their journeys. Outside of work, Claudia enjoys music, dance, fitness, cooking, spending time with her family, and cuddling with her pups. Having personal passions as a mental health provider is essential for her to decompress and practice self-care.
