Hi there, I'm Amber! My name is Amber Hill, and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Widener University, as well as a license in Massage Therapy. I like to practice holistically and cater to the entire aspect of an individual so they can reach their greatest potential. **My approach** I use mindfulness, EMDR, CBT, strengths-based, life coaching, and Christian counseling as options when treating individuals. I believe in individuality and therefore not all modalities fit one person. **My focus** I like to work with single mothers, couples, and those on a spiritual journey that may be inclusive of their career path. **My communication style** I like to create an open environment where rapport is important, as it helps establish trust and a therapeutic alliance. **My journey to mental healthcare** I’ve experienced my own challenges from childhood to adulthood that made me a natural caregiver and love to help others. I love when an individual can have that “aha” moment and it impacts their lives for the better. **My goals for you** Goal setting is about the client, so open-ended questioning and seeing them as the expert is important in collaborating on setting goals. **My first session with you** A client will learn the basics of counseling and expectations and share their experience of what brought them to seek out healing.
